So,

I got my WF Wiz/Rogue to 14/2 quite some time ago then put him on the shelf.

Since MOD 9 dropped I figure it is time to dust him off and level him some more. My dilemma is this:

I don't feel like turning this guy into a vanilla Wiz/Rogue 18/2 split.

I am considering going 14/6 split, but cannot get my head around it as I have never played a rogue before.

Does anyone have any input on if a 14/6 build would be viable? If not, is there another class I could/should multi into?

I'd hate to scrap this guy because he is fun to play, but not sure what to do from here.

Any suggestion/comment will be taken under advisement.

Thanks in advance.

None of you "Master Builders" out there has any suggestions where I could/should take this guy?

I've got a near-copy of Precious (Precocious is the name) that is currently 14 wiz/2 rog Lawful Good - I'm thinking about splashing a level of fighter for a free feat and martial weapons.

If your build is like mine, I'd say it would be a shame to miss out on 9th level spells with a maxed Int and Spell Pen only 3 less than a full wiz.

first, I hv been a little busy w/RL of late and just saw this - sry.

second, both Wiz and Rog gain at odd lvls. So, 17/3or 15/5 makes more sense. The question here becomes 1 of more SP vs more SA. With a high enough Int, you get
9th lvl spells @ 17th. Still, the difference between 15 & 17 4 a wiz is X# more SP. @ this pt, no capstone, etc so that is not an issue. 5 Rog has 3d6 of SA; 3 Rog gets 2d6 SA ther eis Uncanny Dodge @ 4th but ther eR other ways 2 add 2 AC.

Third, I hope that this helps.

Yes, that did help a ton. As cool as the 9th level spells are, I already have a capped Sorc so I'm not too concerned about missing them.

I just wanted something a little different to play, maybe something a little twitchier and challenging....who knows what I wanted.

I apreciate your take on my possible avenues, I'll probably make my decision this weekend when I expect to have time to work on this guy.
