I am curious the level of rp that occurs on this server/game.

I am an old dnd guy from the early 80s and would like to recreate the pnp feel online.

Is there a dedicated rp server or unofficial one?

Another way to look at it, we all role play our characters because most clerics are expected to be healers. Most wizards and sorcerors are expected to have haste and firewall. Rogues are expect to disarm traps and open locks. Fighters are expected to do the melee.

Definitely no dedicated server or a server that has that type of guild on it that I know of.

From reading the forums, there seems to be quite a bit of Roleplaying guilds on Thelanis. I'm hoping there will be several pop up on Cannith too. I'm going to encourage it in our guild if I see interest, but my one attempt at roleplaying on DDO would make the most serious person fall out of there chair laughing. :p

There are many RP guilds on Thelanis and Sarlona.

Your best bet is to join an RP guild. You won't see any RPing in pick up groups.
