Favored Soul

My wife and I are both making Favored souls; I'll be more melee based she wants to be more caster based. I'm curious what our rotations are going to look like, what spells would make sense for our chosen paths.

You should both have a healing spell appropriate to your level. After that, split up the buffs like Resist Elements, Deathward, Freedom of Movement, Aid, etc between you so you can get the other spells you want.

Don't bother with Neutralize Poison, Lesser Restoration, Remove Disease, etc. Get potions or wands for those.. you just don't have the spell slots available.

You want to concentrate the rest of your slots on self buffs for melee: Nightshield, Divine Favor, Divine Power, Shield of Faith, and the like. She'll want spells like Command, Hold Person, etc. Soundburst and Holy Smite are decent attack spells, but they are more crowd control than damage. Flamestrike will be the first major attack spell.

Both of you should have Blade Barrier when you get the chance, though you should take it first and she can wait until a later slot, because she'll want Heal as her first choice.
