Is there a way to turn off the Ads on the forums now?

Just use Firefox with addon, it can block the ads.

After posting the OP, I found the other thread, about this subject.

I used to go to Pogo.com(EA) alot and they used to be just a free site with alot of games to play, with advertising.

Then they started a yearly subscription, and the main benefit was to get rid of the advertising and have better games to play(well some better) and you could win more money( the lucky .001%).

Why cant Turbine have done something like this. Let the f2p get bombarded with all the advertising and let the so-called VIP, we are VIP's after all get AD free pleasure, be it on the forums and in game loading screens.

So far all I see is the ad for DDO: EU. If all they run are samples of their DDO ads, I have no problem with it heh.

I really would not have a problem with them if they were at the bottom of the page, but they are always right in your face at the top.
