I hope to hit 20 this weekend. I currently have the following favored enemies...
Undead
Giants
Elementals
Evil Outsiders
I am thinking of taking Abberations as my last FE and am soliciting the vast experience and wisdom of the forums before I level up....What do you think?
P.S. Just noticed I can't type (5th).

hmm well for what you see - maybe Gnoll?
There are some in the shroud and some in new content.
I think until new quests released, that is as good as any....or maybe whatever the tieflings and spell casters are in new area (actually tiefling type or humans?)
You dont see any aberrations really except the odd beholder going to Hound...
Cheers,

I'm actually in the exact same quanrdy, just not the same time frame. We have the same FEs.
Currently I'm leaning towards reptiles or vermin due to the number of trogs, kobolds, and spiders I've seen in Mod 8 and Update 0.

I took Aberration as my fifth favoured enemy.

cant go wrong with constructs...
there are plenty of portals in the shroud and some of the new quests... as well as many golems...

Beholders are easily enough neutralized by WoE. Auto-crit is good enough for me to DPS em down.
Only four FEs for me, but heres my list:
Undead
Giants -> Swapped to Evil Outsiders shortly after leveling past Gianthold and ready to hit the Vale
Constructs
Elementals
Portal bashing is NEVER fun, so anything to speed that up is a +++ in my book. And not just in the shroud, useful for Bastion of Power portals, and Weapon Shipment portal (the one you have to bash down to get the optional chest). Also, 3rd level of A New Invasion have beefy clay and adamantine golems that only fail smite save on a 1.
Giants, while helpful during SC and gianthold, are easier to dispatch at higher levels (refuge specifically) with WoP to 0 Con and switching to DPS weapons. Crittable foes are less priority to me as a FE - much rather get the extra dmg against non-crit foes.
Exception being Evil Outsiders, for obvious reasons.

From what I remember in DDO aberrations include
Rust Monsters
Tharack Hounds
Beholders
Mind Flayers
So yes not alot of mobs.
I was thinking about reptiles also.....

OP: Considering your current list I would highly recommend FE: Construct. There are a lot of constructs to fight in the new mod and they’re usually named or in a mixed mob fight.

and portals!!:D
/facepalm. Oh yeah! Lots ands lots of portals!
I see people advocating reptiles (Trogs), natural outsider (Tiefling), Gnolls, and aberations. IMO those are trivial compared to comparable mobs, less hp and damage. Definitly go with constructs. More bang for your buck.

Construct.... Imagine if everyone had +12 damage to their swing to portals. Imagine how fast they would go down. Im surprised you dont have this already :D

I did take constructs. Thanks for all of the input.
