I went with a multiclass Elf Brd 18/ Thf 2. He's still level 2 Bard level 1 Thf my problem is he's not doing too good now at deactivating traps or hitting in melee combat. Here he is.
Str 15
Dex 15
Con 10
Int 14
Wis 8
Cha 15

Balance 5
Bluff 2
Concentration 9
Diplomacy 2
Disable device 8
Haggle 6
Heal -1
Hide 0
Intimidate 2
Jump 6
Listen 1
Move silent 7
Open lock 7
Perform 8
Repair 2
Search 9
Spot 6
Swim -2
Tumble 10
UMD 9

Feats:Acrobatic
Toughness

Enhancements:
Bard extra Song
Aerenal Elf Melee Damage
Rogue Sneak Attack Training
Rogue Disable Device
Rogue Open Lock
Bard Energy of Music
Rogue Improved Trap sense

Equipment: Longsword +1, +1 Heavy steal shield, Straw Hat, Pathfinders Necklace, +1 Chain shirt,
Axe Bane bracers, Ring of alertness, engraved ring, Pathfinder's boots, Cloak of Faith, Ornate Goggles

Any ideas on how I should proceed. I really don't want to reroll.

You are trying to do too many things at once, pick a focus and stick with it.
If you have trouble hitting, did you use your bard songs?
If you have trouble disarming traps, did you use your skill boost?

Well, I would have suggested getting the Troubleshooter's set from Korthos, but you already have Pathfinders, so too late for that. Consider getting the Rogue Skill Boost enhancement, and click on it for a little bonus just before attempting to disable a trap. You will also want to find items you can wear with bonuses to the Search, Spot, Disable Device & Open Locks skills. On my rogues, I look for those on goggles; wear the +Spot goggles most of the time, switch to +search when I get a trap warning (the "danger sense" message), then to +Disable after finding the box (and of course +open lock to unlock things - that's more likely to be on gloves than goggles, though). Also invest in some good Thieves Tools (you can buy then on the Auction House, or from the Free Agent vendor once you have enough Free Agent favor)

your main problem is inadequate constitution; drop int and get some more constitution.

trap skills take a while to mature; they are very dependent on having the best bonus items for your level (+5 items at lv 5, etc), or you won't be up to the task of elite traps

you won't need the extra skill points you're picking up from int to remain trap capable

similarly, dont two weapon fight at low level,s even with the feats; go weapon and shield until you get to level 10 or so

Yea I debated the pathfinders vs Troubleshooters for a while. I'm not hitting with my song on and using sword and board. I noticed other lowbies missing too so maybe not just me. Just hate to set up a sneak atack from behind only to miss 8 swings in a row. I knew the con was going to be a problem that's the one thing making me think of rerolling that and maybe to get troubleshooters. This was really supose to be a warenchanter but I really don't know the prereqs for that. I was going to go Rapiers/Piercing feats. My spells right now are heal and Hypnotize.

I hope you mean Cure Light Wounds and Hypnotism. Cause if you're clicking the Heal icon on your quickbar, that's not going to cast any spell at all ;)

-Have you made the maths (or checked with a planner) to make sure you could max out all important skills with just 14 Int and 2 levels of rogue?
- Get rid of acrobatics
- If you want to be resonably effective in combat, pick a style (two-weapon fighting, two-handed fighting or ranged, e.g. repeaters) and adapt the build around it
- Drow would probably be helpful for such a build
- You probably won't have enough points to have high enough Str, Dex and Cha together. Figure out which one you may want to drop (e.g. Str if going finesse or repeaters, Dex if going Str-based two-handed fighting, Cha if str-based dual wielding warchanter) so you can focus on the others
