I was wondering if anyone was having a display issue when looking at their character's ability scores. I've looked at 2 of my character this morning and the modifiers are way off

My cleric:
STR 22 +3
DEX 21 +2
CON 26 +4
INT 18 +1
WIS 38 +8
CHA 8 -1

My wizard:
STR 12 +1
DEX 22 +3
CON 22 +3
INT 34 +7
WIS 18 +1
CHA 10 0

Seems like the the stats between 0-14 display correctly. Those between 15-33 are off by 3 and those above 34+ are off by 6

is that in game or in myddo.com?

I believe the + stats (on myDDO) are for your character's 'base' scores (minus equipment). So a +1 would mean the character has a base 12 in that score. +2/14, +3/16 etc.

ie - stats show STR 18 (+1) = Base 12 + alt is wearing a +6 stat item.

At least that's what it looks like when I compare my alts with the gear they're wearing.

Chainz you might be onto something cause all my guys are wearing +6 stat items or have feat bonuses for the stats that are off.

It's still weird that it shows the modified ability score but the unmodified bonus :)

It definitely appears that the bonus reflects the base unmodified stat. (ie what it would be if you were nekid and unbuffed.)

Yeah, it definitely threw me off when looking at them.. hehe but Zenako pretty much summed it up more eloquently :D

Case in point, I tested with Ankles (http://my.ddo.com/character/khyber/ankles/) (my ranger) and it seems to reflect only his base score modifier. (STR 22 + 2) = base 14 + 6stat item + 2 Ram Might

So myDDO will reflect spell effects to Stat scores, but will still show just base modifiers.

Seems that myDDO will record whatever state your character abilities are at log off (including spell effects) but reflect only your base. I guess to maybe to throw off any chance a person will buff to the gills, suck down stat potions, log off and then boast to others on the forums that his alt has 'l33t' scores.. hehehe
