Does this error have anything to do with geographic location, or card type?
The reason that I ask is I am in the US military and currently deployed overseas. Due to the location and nature of the deployment I did not carry any of my credit cards with me for security purposes. The card that I used for my subscription expired this month, but DDO wen't free to play so I logged in.
To make a long story short, I discovered my favorite quest (Delera's) was a module I had to buy, but I have a $50 dollar visa gift card so I was like "what the heck" and tried to purchase it. I get "Error 140003" everytime I try. Then I tried to purchase thru PayPal with the same end result.
So then I decided to go to PayByCash and just buy a 90 day card, but it will not allow me to do so due to my geographic location (or rather the location of the originating IP address).
Due to my location, communication by any means other than email is pretty much a no-go. Is there any way I can get my subscription renewed or at least buy some points? It's going to be a long year if I can't...lol.
-Update: PayPal still says they cannot verify my credit card. They can, apparently, debit the card for a $1.00 transaction fee every time I try to use the DDO store however. Odd that they can't verify the card when I try to give Turbine my money, but they can take it for themselves...lol.
