Shared Mission - No Advancement in Quest Chain

Hey,
Me and friend are playing this through together. We shared the first missions with no problem. However we completed the requirements from the Baldar quest, "The Cannith Crystal." We both talked to him, and he confirms with me that I've completed the quest. My friend he can go to the Barkeep and get the next quest. When I go to the barkeep I just get sent back to Baldar and end up in a loop.

Thinking it would resove itself my friend shares the next mission with me and we complete it. But again, he can finish it by talking to the barkeep, but I'm still being told to go talk to Baldar.

What can I do to advance? Keeping in mind my friend is logged out as well as me to stop from progressing so we can both advance together sharing quests.

What do we need to do to stop this from happening in the future? If the quest sharing system is bugged, it's going to be very hard for two people, or even more when more friends join in, to play together.

My in game character is Therinda Nax.

Last March with a new toon:
I take the quest from Balder with my party.
We complete it together.
All get the quest cup notification within the quest telling us it is complete
We all leave to go talk to Baldar
Baldar acknowledges that I've taken quest in dialog. Something like "so the crystal is safe"
Baldar does not pop up reward window for me (but rest of party receive theirs)
I abandon and we all run it again -- same result
I abandon and then run it solo, TWICE -- same result
I open in-game support ticket and after having me abandon and run the quest again (while watching), s/he finally believes me and advances me to reward window with Baldar.

I don't think anymore about it. Glitch -- things happen.

Fast forward to last week (September)

1st incident

I create new character on the server
I complete tutorial and start running Korthos quests - soloing on normal
I make it through the crypt and storehouse and move onto crystal
I take Crystal quest from Baldar
I complete quest
SAME RESULT -- Baldar does not pop reward window


It's late and I don't open new in-game ticket - just log out to deal with at a later time

2nd incident

I create new character on the new Cannith server
I complete tutorial and start running Korthos quests - soloing on normal
I make it through the crypt and storehouse and move onto crystal
I take Crystal quest from Baldar
I complete quest
SAME RESULT -- Baldar does not pop reward window


Again - late and I don't have time to wait for in-game support

3rd incident

I create new character on regular (Ghallanda) server
I skip tutorial and start running Korthos quests with a party (2 others)
We make it through the crypt and storehouse and move onto crystal
We take Crystal quest from Baldar
We complete quest
SAME RESULT -- Baldar does not pop reward window for me but does for the other party members
I open in-game support, but unfortunately GM was not able to help me in game (s/he did watch me in quest and saw that I completed as required)


I logged in today with the ticket from above still open. A different in-game support person listened and forced the reward window. I was then able to move onto Sigmund

Mostly out of curiosity, I came in with a brand new toon shortly after being helped. Went through tutorial, talked to Sigmund, completed first two Korthos quests -- but ALAS - Baldar still showing me no love.

I do not believe this is an in-game support issue. Whatever they can do is only temporary, and I will continue to run into this problem and waste at minimum 1 hour trying to get it resolved real time. Hopefully the support team will see that this cannot be labelled a one-off game glitch and research to determine what is causing my continued problems with the Cannith Crystal quest.
