Premium to VIP

I tried DDO yesterday. I was a player from the way way back returning. After looking around and talking to a buddy who never really left the game I decided that, "yes I am going to play again."

After snooping around the store I decided that it was in my better interest to sign up as a VIP. Turbine sent me an e-mail and I saw on the webpage after resubbing that I could enter the game and have my VIP benefits.

Well... this was only partially true. I noticed right away that warforged were available again. Nice, but kinda meh to me since I don't care for warforged. What I really wanted was a drow. I thought I may even pay for it out of the 500 turbine points I was getting for subbing as a VIP. When I logged in, however I only had the couple hundred points from newbie play last night. The 500 VIP points were not in my store.

I also guess that there should probably be a VIP forum, right? No luck there either. What I really want, though are those 500 points for subbing. Can anybody tell me why I didn't get my points?

I may be wrong (usually am according to my wife) but I don't think the first round of VIP monthly rewards go into affect until tomorrow, the ninth...

The 500 points may not (may not, as in, I don't really know, other than it's supposed to be "500 points per month") kick in till the end of the first month. You should, however, get some "retroactive favor points". If you haven't already, make sure to log in your highest favor characters on each server to make sure all your favor-related Turbine points get awarded properly. If that's still not enough for drow, earning certain favor increments will also grant Turbine points.
