how does one unlock monk in a premium account with out paying tp for it?

Aside from being VIP, you cannot unlock Monk without paying the Turbine Points for it.

It is true you have to pay turbine points, but that doesn't mean spending cash. TP can been earn through grinding the Favor system.

Monks are in the store, but you can earn Turbine Points by getting favor. You get favor from doing quests, each difficulty setting is more favor. So you can actually play monks free, you just have to get the favor to get the points to buy them. :)

Robi3.0 has an awesome Free 2 Play guide, go there and read up on how to take advantage of the FTP system.

And yeah, Monks are Monktastically Delicious to play.
