Is this only available to VIP players?
When I open my social panel and go to "Guild", it tells me to buy a charter from the store. When I click the button for doing that, I get a "Nothing matches your search criteria" message in the Store window. If I try to just type in my wanted guild name, I can't click Create anyway.
Can anyone explain how to fix this, or how I'm supposed to create a guild if this is not the right way?

Sorry to say, Guild Creations is currently a VIP thing. I'm not sure if Premium member can do it too, but its possible.
I'm at work now, but ill search for the post that addressed that. Unless someone gets to it first.

Guild charters aren't available to 1st level characters for some bizzar reason. My 4th level fighter can get one from the DDO store but I don't want him in the guild, let alone the leader. Myself and a bunch of friends want to start fresh characters and get into a guild of our own straight away with exclusive characters but can't because of this restriction. I have the Turbine Points but it won't show the Charter as available to the 1st level character I want as the Guild Leader.
Edit: Actually, I'm going to raise a bug report. The charter says it's available to all races, classes and levels yet I can't get access to it with any of my 1st and 2nd level characters. I can with my 3rd and above characters.

Actually, I eventually discovered (through talks with a GM) that the charter is not avaiable to anyone in SNOWY Korthos. After you've done Misery's Peak, you can grab it.

Ah cool, thanks!
I can race through the solo quests and get the charter then come back to do all the group stuff.

****, and I was hoping FTP would not get access to making guilds.
I hate running thru the new areas, declining wads of blind party and guild invites....

Well, the charter you need to buy costs 250 Turbine Points, so there isn't going to be thousands of guilds.

**** thats steep!
Although it sounds like elitist trash, running with and joining a reputable, established guild will really help advancing in game knowledge :)
