Despite the fact that, in the store, this item is found in the Spell Components category of Gear and Equipment... I only discovered AFTER spending 500+ points on it that it does NOT actually allow me to store spell components therein.

Making the entire purchase rather pointless for me.

To whom can I request a refund of my points and to turn in my useless bag? Or am I just stuck with this purchase?

Can anyone tell me if I can expect a response on my question here, or if I should forward my concerns elsewhere? And if so, to whom should I forward my request?

Yeah... not holding my breath, but wow... I guess I will just have to contact Turbine directly. Is this forum usually so non-responsive?

I dont think I ever saw a MMO that took so long to respond to service and support posts on customer service forums. AC got responces out fast...mostly same day...and phone support was excellent.

I put in an inquiry days ago and still have not gotten any reply, not even a confirmation that they are looking into it or even that they recieved it. There is nothing quality about that, and if this is the VIP support level, dang I would hate to see the amount they dedicate to free to play accounts.

Overall the game is good, but the support is severly lacking. These days, people will work for anything. TURBINE HIRE SOME HELP.

This is going well, isn't it? I was advised today in game to go to www.turbine.com/support to try to get my issue resolved, I will let folks know how it plays out.

Received this email today:

Greetings (Real name Removed because I don't know you people),

Thank you for your inquiry. We have refunded the 595 points used to purchase the ingredient bag.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please respond to this email, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you,
The Turbine Customer Service Team

So, apparently, my advice to other folks that run afoul of the DDO Store? Contact support via the website listed in the previous post, rather than on this forum.

Glad it worked out for you!

Honestly in any game it's always best to contact the company directly with issues like this, either by submitting an online ticket or calling them directly, than to expect help on the community forum.

Granted... but this bit at the top of this page (and the description for this part of the forum)

In-Game Customer Service Have a non urgent question for a GM? Post it here. Urgent requests should use the in-game Help options.

seems to indicate that, at the very least, it is not unreasonable to try to get satisfaction for this kind of thing here. Frankly, I am somewhat shocked that not a single GM or representative replied here, nor to any other thread that has been created in the time since I posted my first message. It's almost as if no one at all from the game ever looks here... and that's actually the opposite of what's to be expected from the stated purpose of this part of the forum.

Anyway, yeah... I'm glad, too, that it worked out for me. I hope other folks in similar situations read this thread and learn what it is that they need to do to get their issues resolved.

For a little defense on bugs, at least, I submitted a bug report last week about the game closing down every time I enter the desert, and the next day I got an email asking me what my operating system was and all that. So they obviously read those fast.

Ingredients bag...I purchased one today. I have almost 2000 Siberys Dragon Shards. I put the first stack in the bag (I was quite happy to think I could free up some bank space) only to find I can only put ONE pile in this bag? Can this be correct? If I'm doing something wrong please tell me. Thanx.

which ingredients bag? what does it list as it's maximum contents when you mouse over it?

And why would someone think and ingredients bag would be for components?

In any case, yes, if you contact through the Game Support options, you are likely to get a response much faster than through here. Especially when it's something regarding your account, rather than an in-game issue.

All bags list max amount per stack, and max different items. It also list the type of idems that can be put into it. Ingredients refers to Crafting Ingredients.

I understand what can go in it, and that you can only place items in stacks of 1000. What I don't understand is, why can't I have say...TWO stacks of 1000 Dragon shards? Currently it will only allow me to place one stack in the bag.

Because that's the way it is ?

Max Unique Items, and Max Stack Size .. you can't take up two slots in any of the bags with the same item, because it's a max unique items.

I know. I've been emailing them repeatedly for nearly two weeks with no response for my broken character.
