For starters - it's pretty :)

After that - it's effective - killed things in the Vale rather quickly and some out right with one casting..

I ain't sure how it works, though. I know it has several effects. Are they completely random or what ? That's kind of a turn off for me.

It sends out a ray (or spray) with multiple lights in it. Depending which light effect hits you get a different effect (disintegrate, FtS, fire damage, etc). Multiple rays/spray colours can hit the same target. Yes, definate degree of randomness, which is true to PnP rules for this spell, and thats one of the things that makes it kind of fun and different. Toss a spray and you will see death, FtS, and just plain ****ed off mobs all at once :p

A rumor I never confirmed for myself....

Is it true that the Prismatic spells are boosted by the Force enhancements? If it's true I may just scare the neighbors (again) with uncontrollable maniacal laughter in the AM. :D
