so since being a VIP(yay) does this mean I can spend those "allowance" points we get for the store on unlocking the drow for my account before I get 400 favor?
Since I really wanna be a drow caster =D

Yes, you can buy Drow, they are an account-wide unlock then instead of just a server unlock like with favor. Same with Favored Soul.

According to Wiki: 595 points is correct.... However, I feel that is too much, as most people can unlock it in less than 1 week (most of my toons hit 400 favor in 3 days). but then again it is up to you.

I have seen quite a few things in the store that are not in that list. And last time I looked several things in that list were not in the store.

Well if your on one of my servers we could try to power level you to drow to save you favor but you would have to wait until friday most likely

Doing elite quests.
if you complete harbor and part of the market on elite (pretty easy with 6 people groups) that gets you 400
you can grind it on a day or two.

WW elite, STK elite, TR elite, Delaris Elite, Co6 elite, Von 5 elite
Depending on your level pick the chain that matches what you can handle.
As for fastest, have to high level guildies run you though there and you should have your favor in a couple hrs.

You are quite correct, unfortunately at the moment I am unable to login to DDO to fill out the rest of the details.

As a new player to the game, it might be a little more difficult to get to 400 favor. I forget how much more difficult it is when you don't have the resources to completely trick out each new toon with the best of the best. This makes elite runs much easier. (the +1 longsword of lesser reptilian bane vs the masterwork longsword, or the +2 mithal chain vs masterwork.) However, you managed to gather 75 favor in 1 day of play, not too shabby, and are now about 20% there. Fastest ways to gain, find groups that know what they are doing, and run the quests on elite, as quests have a scaling setup for favor: Example 2pt for solo, 3ps for normal 6 for hard 9 for elite. They don't stack, meaning you'll get only the points for the highest difficulty ran.
Also the Catacombs series... is worth about 70 pts on elite, and can easily be run by lvl appropriate players in about 2 hrs. it is a long chain that a lot of people only run for favor. If you are willing to take the experience hit, find a group that is running favor runs. These are usually ran by people well over the level of the quest, and most often there is no Experience for the quest, but they often allow people to tag along for the favor. I wouldn't recommend it for a new player, but if you are in a rush, there are almost always someone running favor runs.

For new players, I'd suggest playing a caster or, healer. They're least gear dependent, and will have the easiest time getting the 400 favor.

Also there is plan B. Plan B is if you level something to say level 10, you will accidently have 400 favor. Or at least I always have had at least 400 favor by then without even going for favor, just by joining groups and leveling up.

Actually, I had a new account as of a month ago. Brand new, no twinking, no nothing. Just me and a template for a decent cleric build. In less than 3 days I was rolling a drow rogue/ranger. This... all while not actually trying to unlock drow. Mostly, just run the quests everyone else is running. You'll get dragged through WW on n/h and sometimes elite. You'll plow through stk at least once, sometimes twice (n/h). TR three times unless you're lucky and manage to find a group running through on E. By then you're practically ready for Delera's, which they'll also be running on (at least) hard.... before you know it you're at 600 favor, and you've only just gotten started..... ok... so 600 is an exaggeration. But you should be pretty close to 400 by then, so just look at all the harbor/korthos stuff you haven't done by then, and polish it off, and you're a drow. YAY!

No doubts it can be done, But I'd bet it would have been much easier and faster if you had 2 years Exp. and the best of the best equip. I remember my first toon took 2 days to lvl to lvl 2... basic inexperience in the game at the time... Now if it takes me 1 hr to get to 2, I start wondering if the build is viable.
However the point being that the time it takes to get the 400 favor for drow isn't very long, and for me not worth 595 TPs. I would spend the +1 TP (596 TPs, as of yesterday, this might change) and go with the FvS, as 2500 favor is a lot more time in the game. There is one Plus to buying drow, it will be unlocked on all servers, vs just the one with the favor. again a minor thing, and still not worth it for me... but they are your points... Spend them how you like.

The one HUGE advantage of buying drow IS that it is unlocked across all servers (like Cannith for instance) and if you ever decide to start on a new server, you will have it unlocked & ready right away for your slog towards 1750 (which unlocks the full 32pt build). If you have the TP, it is a very nice bonus. You can favor-grind it easily (as others have said) but the FvS is a better buy if you are adverse to that, as 2500 is much more difficult than 400 (which even if you AREN"T trying for favor, you will have long before you cap a cleric who is still usefull at cap).
