Alright DDO Members. I know if your like me, your reading this right now while having a secondary window open looking to see if the news page mentions anything about the server being up on the off chance that they decide to sneak it on us in the middle of the night. (Just to reassure you, It won't happen, but I know that's not going to stop us die hard DDO'ers.)

Anyway, I know I haven't made many post on the forums yet, so hi to those who I've never met, and hello to those who know me. Either in game or In Real Life. Basically what I'm trying to figure out is what I should do when DDO:EU launches tomorrow. I'll explain my situation.

I've only been playing the game for (Checks Calandar) About 2 months now. And I have no plans to ever stop. Great D&D Fix for when the TT Group can't always get together. Anyway;

The highest level I've managed to get any of my characters so far is 7. And with Mod 9 underway, this posses a few interesting decisions for me to make. So I'm looking for some of the people who have been through new mods and patches to give me some of their wisdom, and help guide me to what I should do to have the most fun with the new mod.

Will it be pointless for me to try and play any of my mid (5-7) level characters? Will most people be either hammering out their 4 endgame levels (16-20) and leave me cold with a LFM. Or on the reverse side of the copper. Will there be so many hammering out Favored Souls that I should either Try one myself or play one of my low level chars to try and keep up with them? I guess basically, Should I put my Mid ranged characters on Hold for now and start thinking about a new toon, or do you think other's will be playing their normal PC's and nothing will change?

Next: Will it be really worth it for me to jump on the Favored Soul Wagon and spend some of my 999 TP's to pick it up right away. Will I have a hard time finding a group because everyone and their cousin will be playing a FS? Should I try to be someone who puts the FS off and try to help the FS Players with their groups by offering the other classes?

Lastly, I Unfortunatly didn't get to play as much of the beta as I would have liked to. In fact, I never got to try the FS out at all, or even got the chance to play with one in my party. Just wondering, If I do decide to crank out a FS, has there been much discovered in what I should try to focus him in for the most effect?

Thanks for reading this, I know I can be long winded at times, but what I'm basically looking for is some of the veterans to deduce from their experiance if I as a new player could do through this launch of a new Mod, to not get discouraged and frustrated about loosing my gaming fun, when it may be my fault for trying to focus on the wrong things.

Thanks again

-Keal

If your highest level toons are mid-level, it doesnt make any sense to start a favored soul toon. There is plenty to learn with all of the other classes. Learn the favored soul once the rush has died down.

I'm sure there will be plenty of groups in the mid level range. Because of the free-to-play, there will be a big influx of new players (and returning players). It only takes a few days to hit level 5, so you will see lots on low and mid level groups - much more than usual I would expect.

Thanks for the advice. I figured at least someone would confirm that it may be a waste to hop on the FS right away.

What server are you on? If your on Khyber I have some toons around that level.

Also, dont forget the new server that is going up. Cannith (I think?). Anyway, I'll be rolling a toon on there for sure, so if your interested in starting a FS there will be nothing but low levels there lol.

I have one toon on every server, If nothing else it was just to breeze through the tutorial and make sure I can make a non tutorial char. But the server that all my serious char's are on. Higher then level 2 anyway is Sarlona. The folks I've meet there are for the most part very friendly and helpful. Just most of them are level 16's that I get to talk with in the Lobster while their PvPing.

I as well am going to try to make a character on Cannith. Be refreshing to start out with everyone, rather then trying to weed through all the new Rerolls and Capped.

But on that note. I would like to thank everyone who is Capped level for being very friendly and helpful. And the groups that I have managed to find as well for being very friendly. Good community!
