After searching and reading tons of posts I have a question for turbine staff
Cannith server is open to VIP only Sept 1st,
All servers get updated Sept 1st,
VIP play new stuff starting Sept 1, Ftp dont get access until the 9th.
Knowing all of those facts, Regarding access to Cannith server does this mean VIP status was anyone subscribed as of July 31 or does VIP mean anyone who is subscriber before Sept 1st?
Just trying to get a simple answer. I have tried to read a lot here but seems VIP means something different depending on the date and question. I would think VIP would be anyone paying monthly fee, but then seen July 31st date then re activating and regaining VIP status , then seeing VIP can be from early 2006 until 3 weeks ago I hope you can see the confusion.
Ty in advance

VIP = someone paying the monthly fee.
The end of july thing was for people who get the extra 999 "free" Turbine Points. Not whether they were VIPs or not.
Anyone currently paying gets access on the 1st.
Former closed beta players and former subscribers get access on the 2nd.
F2P gets access on the 9th.

Open to current and former subscribers as well as recent participants in the closed beta, the Dungeons & Dragons Online®: Eberron Unlimited™ Head Start begins 09/01/09. Players who join us for this event get exclusive access to play early. The head start allows all participants to fully experience the new game content and features before the general public is admitted on 09/09/09. Reserve your character names, play the new content first, or simply get a jump on trying out the latest game features. It all begins on September 1st!
NOTE: The head start will happen on the live game servers. Currently active players will be able to patch up and start playing on the 1st. Beta players who did not previously play on the live service will need to download and install the live game client prior to playing, and will log into the live servers using their beta logins, which will be converted to live accounts on 09/01/09. The Beta (Lamannia) game software will not work. To download the high resolution version of the live Stormreach client, click here (http://download.ddo.level3.turbine.com/largecontent/ddo/mod8/downloader/live/highres/DDO-US-Mod8-Downloader-HighRes.exe). For standard resolution, click here (http://download.ddo.level3.turbine.com/largecontent/ddo/mod8/downloader/live/standardres/DDO-US-Mod8-Downloader-StandardRes.exe).
So where are you getting this about the 2nd? From what I've read all VIP's, beta testers and former subscribers ALL get access on the 1st. If I am wrong please give us a link to the announcement that stated there is a different date for beta testers...

Your link is about Head Start.
This thread is about the Cannith Server.
Cannith will be open exclusively to VIPs for the 1st day, and then open to all Head Start players.

If you currently have a paid subscription, or get one prior to Sept 1st, you will be a VIP and thus granted access to the Head Start. This includes playing on the new server.
The differences in the Join Dates for VIPs only comes into play for the VIP and Beta rewards... the longer you've played will net you more Turbine Points, and so will having played in the Beta.
Regardless of join date/reward tier - if you have a paid subscription on or before the 1st of next month, you will be a VIP with all privileges and perks granted as such.

Yes you will be considered a VIP if you bought a retail version of the game 3 days ago as that comes with a 30 day subscription. With that being said if you do not continue to pay a monthly fee you will be downgraded from a VIP to a f2p account.

I played the beta and yesterday (08-31-09) I´ve upgraded my account from Beta (inactive) to VIP status. Now on my turbine account, I can see the VIP status on it. But I can´t log to Canith servers, all servers are up, except from Canith. When I log to any other server, I see the VIP Account on it, but even tough I can´t access Canith.
Anyone could explain me why?
Thanks
