Any chance of these ever being looked at?
I know they are in PnP, it would give monks an alternative to bludgeon damage and the animations are either in game or maybe changed slightly from existing animations. It also might ad some interest in unarmed combat for non monks.
There Could be:
Spiked Gauntlets, Punching Daggers - Peirce
Claws - Slash
I'm not real sure on the damage or crit range for these in pnp, but It might be something that could be added.
Anyways, probably not but I think it would be neat after we get into Mod9 to start getting some of this type of stuff.

Yes, thats exactly what we need. More unarmed combat that wont have greensteel options.

They said no GS handwraps. Now we have to wait for them to say no GS Punching Daggers :p

If they're using a weapon then it isn't "unarmed" anymore. (But the Shifter race could actually have real claws...)
As long as you're talking about new monk weapons, it could be nice to see the Sarlona cutting wheel. That shouldn't require much artwork, and a Monk might be willing to take the feat if it was allowed as a bonus choice at 1, 2, or 6.

If the devs want to enable non-monks to use unarmed combat, they simply need to add Improved Unarmed Strike as a feat trainable by everyone. However, it would look stupid for someone in fullplate to follow the same bouncy flippy animation Monks use, so they'd need to create a separate brawling or "Queensberry" attack series (hopefully with the Polish Hammer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_hammer#Double_axe_handle) as the 5th swing!). Obviously, Turbine has minimal budget for character animations, so that would be a severe obstacle.
The effect of that would be similar to adding "Exotic Proficiency: Handwraps". It would basically just allow Fighters to spend a feat to utilize any nice Handwraps they happened to find, and also to benefit from bursting TOD rings. They could additionally add the Superior Unarmed Strike feat, so a non-monk can improve his base damage as he advances in level.
Also there are some Barbarian prestige classes focused on unarmed combat, so it could be fun to see Fist of the Forest or Frostrager as a specialty enhancement.

Having your hand wrapped with something that ads to the effectiveness isn't really "unarmed" either IMO if you want to split hairs.
But yes, I understand what you mean.
just thought it would be something neat, the weapon sets we have are a bit boring with no real interest in weapons other than the 4 or 5 staple weapons.
Yes Impact, another non-GS unarmed combat weapon. Though I'm not sure GS will be the end all to end all in upcoming mods, around 2013 or so.
