Noob question for starter island

Once you leave the noob island, are you allowed to coem back? Because I have a friend whose going to start playing the game but I started a little ahead of him and I wanted to check out the mainland then come back and help him with noobie island. Is that possible?

but if you have completed Misery's Peak and your friend goes thru the tutorial, you will not be able to group with him/her until they have completed Misery's Peak as well. If they have played before, and skip tutorial, you can group with them too. Other than that, they will have to solo or group with others until they are able to leave the island.

Yes. You just talk to a guy on that jettty to go to the mainland, then when on the mainland you talk to the guy on the wharf to come back.

The only thing you want to watch, is to make sure you both did the tutorial, or you both skippped the tutorial. I'm not sure of the ins and outs, but I think it puts you into different instances of Korthos Island based on whether or not you did the tutorial; this discrpancy disappears once you are on the mainland.

Yes, with a caveat.

When you start a new account, you are forced through the tutorial.

The tutorial is known as "Snowy side" Korthos which is left when you go through the Dimension Door at the end of Misey's Peak. This sends you to "Sunny Side" Korthos where you can come and go as you please once you get your end reward and talk to the Captain.

Yes, if you go back to the Harbor and go to the docks there is a person that will take you back. I don't know the name, but she will be right where you first came into the Harbor (from korthos), near a boat and with a yellow circle thing over her head.

However, if he will need to run the tutorail atleast once before he will be able to group with you. I didn't play around to much in beta to know if this was fixed or if there are any changes to how it works now, but just wanted to let you know that you might not be able to play together. You might need to make a new toon and choose to do the tutorial, or he completes it once and then makes a new toon and skips the tutorial.

Thank you all for quick response. Forum crew seems more alive then the game lol. Maybe that's just because I've only been on Noobie Island. But no one ever seems to answer my questions :(

General chat is limited to your own current instance. This makes it sort of useless in a lot of areas where people don't just sit around in public (ie Korthos). When the next mod hits, "general" will mean the current instance, the public instance it is linked to (if you are in a quest) as well as all the quests related to the public instance.

Most servers have a Help channel you can join:

"/joinchannel help" to join
"/1 <text>" to type

Some servers' help channels are more active than others. They are all user created so not everyone uses them (this will change in the next mod where they become default channels)

An alternative is to go to the marketplace and use general chat there, there's usually lots of people since it links all the game's areas together and has vendors/mail/auction that people tend to use.

Because of the mentioned limits, and the fact most people are guided at this point in the game, most people don't even have general chat up in game.

Since you have already done Misery's Peak you will not be able to play with your friend on THAT character.

1. Create a NEW character and join your friend on the SNOWEY side of Korthos.

2. Help your friend to JUST solo the snowey side of Korthos. Most character types can handle Korthos on SOLO. If your friend is a wizard or sorceror or rogue it might be a bit dodgey, but do-able.

Once your friend has gone through Misery's Peak, please be sure to choose the Archivist Necklace if you are a spell caster, then you can take ANY character to Korthos and team up with any other player.

Korthos was enacted the way it is to stop the Plat Spammers from blasting us with mail and tells all of the time. And it has cut down on that.
