Hey! Welcome to the game.

Some big tips to get you started:
1. Find a group. Use the grouping to make the quests way easier. You need to find a decent headphone and mic.
2. Tell people that you are new. Many, if not most, will help you.
3. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
4. Run the Korthos quests all the way to elite when you find a good group.
5. Check the forums for advice constantly. The best way to have fun is to make good choices at level-up and with enhancements. You can find a ton of good info on the forums, use it to avoid dumb mistakes.
6. And, again, find a group (then later a good guild).

my advise is stay a pure class until you have at least unlocked drow. this will give you the ability to fully understand how DDO works, its a little different from PnP. also play the different classes to learn there strengths and weaknesses.

and as said before - let people know your new otherwise you'll get the uber fast no guided tour runs of all quests and will most likely get lost and hate it.

above all - have fun :D

welcome :) i hope you like the game as much as we do. my best tip ... enjoy yourself! dont rush yourself to find out all the little details of the game, having been a pnp d&d player, youll catch on rather quickly anyway. play a couple toons thru the korthos island and into the market place, find what you like, then stick with it till you unlock your 32pt build charecter. dont be afraid to jump in a pug, or put up an lfm, and be sure to tell people that your a newbie so they can either adjust their playstyle for you, or help direct you somewhere that will. (usually youll get a nice set of pots too ;)). after you level up a bit, start checking out the guilds. ddo, like pnp d&d, is not solo friendly at mid to upper lvls. the individual server forums here on the ddo forums, has a guild listing subforum in each of them to help you find a perfect fit.

enjoy! if your playing khyber, i hope to see you in game :)
