View Full Version : Why do I keep ending up in Korthos?

On my casters, I usually DDoor or Teleport out of dungeons, but on my melee toons when I recall out or release, I often end up on the snowy side of Korthos, sometimes to the pre-tutorial, shipwreck shore. this is after I've been bound in Merida, several times. Any ideas why this is happening or how to prevent it?

if you recall out of the shroud, you end up in korthos, its just logic
sadly it gets fixed in mod9 :/

ummm its not an exploit ......


It is a known problem and the short answer is like Visty said its something they are supposed to be fixing next Mod otherwise in the meantime its just quirky game mechanics (its happened to me a few times as well).

To prevent it you need to do 1 of 3 things.

1) Have someone cast a ddoor and walk out the door of the quest.

2) Use a teleport ability (either spell, scroll, clickie, or greater teleport from another) to go to meridia directly.

3) when the quest is finished, hit /death to appear at your bound site. If you forget and end up in korthos anyway, /death will still get you to your bound point from there. If you are worried about repair costs, take off anything you are wearing beforehand.

Some of mine end up in the old harbour.

You drop down as if you were going to land on the boat near to the old starting area, landing in the water. Then teleport again to near the entrance to Durks.

ehhh I was half with it when I replied anyways so if it was intended that way then it was completely lost on me

This only seems to happen if you are not lvl 16 or have not run a character through the tutorial thing. My lvl 15 ranger typed /death after I recalled and ended up standing dead in snowy Korthos..they changed my bind point.
