Why no matter how many times I "End Task" in task manager do these keep popping back and running???

and

TurbineMessageService.exe

I believe it is because it is tied to the turbine launcher (but at work so can't verify). If you close out all turbine stuff it will not restart until you restart turbine

You could also check your startup menu.

I unchecked it from my start up menu as well... and guess what.... ITS STILL RUNNING no matter what. This realy bothering me... there is no need for it to run if Im not running the game!

I have kind of noticed this on my own computer, but it hasn't annoyed me to the extent that I have gone hunting for a fix yet.

My guess is that any time you start DDO, it starts the TBDM service and also sets it to start automatically.

If I figure something out, I'll let you know here, but my computer's up for a wipe and reboot within the next month or two, and I will most likely put this off until then.

Open the 'Control Panel'

Open 'Administrative Tools'

Open 'Services'

Find the Turbine services and set them to 'Manual' or 'Disabled'

Reboot.

use manual instead of disabled - that way you can still start them if needed for something important.
