Which weapons get sneak attack damage bonuses?

I recently started a drow Rogue 2/Ranger 14 and I was looking for weapons that I could use with sneak attack, when I found a shortsword that gave sneak attack bonuses. I thought that sneak attack was limited to rapiers daggers and shurikens? Can I get the bonus when using a longsword? Thanks in advance for any advice!

You can get sneak attacks on any melee weapon. For ranged weapons, you have to be within 30 feet of your target to get sneak attacks.

Just love it when I find a Maul of Backstabbing (backstabbing property grants a sneak attack bonus of some magnitude). Have to picture in my mind the slight halfling rogue sneaking up on the mob with a MAUL to conk them over the head with....:D

If you're asking what magical attributes to look for, there's "of backstabbing", as mentioned above. "Of deception" can be handy as well - it gives you a chance of getting a sneak attack even if you're the only person the monster is attacking. I hear "radiance" is a preferred crafted property on high level rogue weapons, but that's likely a ways in the future ;)

You already got your answer on sneak attack.

However, it sounds like you got confused with enhancements.

Drow can buy into the enhancements that will allow them to bonus to hit and bonus to damage with short swords and rapiers, and also shurikens. These apply to all attacks with those weapons.

If you scroll down to the "enhancements" section

You will see under "level 1"
*Drow Melee Damage I
*Drow Ranged Damage I
At level 4 you can buy into
*Drow Melee Attack I
*Drow Ranged Attack I

There are also II versions of these for an additional bonus to hit and damage.
