Hi, im excited to begin my journey. but I have some questions.

I purchased an online(digital) from Turbine, I have activated my account 14.99, but not downloaded via the link they provided because im at work atm.

so?

whats this DDO unlimited? did I purchace a limited version with a subscription?

I saw something is suppose to happen early Sep. will I get a chance to play the new DDO coming out in Sep?

whats this new store? what do they sell, do you purchase from inside the game? how do you get Points? it appears you use points to buy stuff in this new store?

can someone help me understand what I actually purchased and did i make a mistake?

This is what my email says: Your subscription to DUNGEONS & DRAGONS ONLINE(tm): Stormreach(tm) has been successfully added.............. This subscription will automatically renew

How do i upgrade to the unlimited?

I know this all sounds confused, thats because I am confused. please be kind, im a bit worried that I have messed up and spent money i should have not spent.

Don't worry, you did nothing wrong by buying DDO, the bestamest game evah ;)

This game, as it currently exists is DDO:Stormreach, a pay 2 play mmorpg game, which you bought now. Just download it once at home, activate sub and enjoy.

DDO:Unlimited is our next big fat upgrade which will change the whole business plan, tough you can still choose to continue as a subscriber, which will have vip privileges, or you can downgrade to free to play, but that is only to come in september as you pointed out.

The 2 are essentially the same game, the transition will be seamless for the players once it launches. Not sure on this one, but iirc current subscribers who get automatically changed to vip members in DDO:U will have some advantages over those who only join after launch so you surely couldn't make any mistake by buying it a month eariler than the "re-launch" ^^

The ddo store will be an addition only in ddo.unlimited too, you need special "turbine points" which vips - subscribers will get 500/month freely, or you can buy em further for real cash. It is an in-game store you can buy lots of stuff with, but not everything. If you downgrade to the free to play business plan, thus limited to content, you can use it to unlock quests and areas. Subsribers won't need this, but can buy some items, potions, premium services, or just fashion stuff, new playable classes/races and many more...

If you like the game you can stay vip, have unlimited access to the whole content, get those points and have some better customer service.

Welcome to DDO, hope you enjoy it the most :)
