It's almost like they knew they had a total PR disaster on their hands and thought that by not talking it would get better.
Hey you know the old public relations rule of thumb... If customers are anoyed and you ignore them the troubles leave with the customer :)

I think their reasoning is more "If you have nothing good to say yet, better keep quiet."
There is two possible choices:
Either they think that the issue is minimal, only limited to the forums and do not warrant further communication or efforts
Either they concluded that there is indeed a problem and that their solution has not gone through all the necessary procedures
In both situation, it's better to keep quiet to avoid making things worse or hype their solution too much.
With that said, I hate the silence.

Didn't you hear? Patience said they were bogged down reading our "feedback" on how unhappy we were with everything. Awws

Curios that they have actually been posting a bunch but they are not showing up on Dev tracker.
<shhhhh.... if nobody thinks where here, they wont be mean to us anymore>

Why, good sir, whatever do you mean? Just yesterday, they answered this poor person (http://forums.ddo.com/member.php?u=24381)'s question about downloading DDO music!
Surely there's nothing else of greater importance they could be discussing!
