Since we all have to wait another month for the release of DDO: U, I believe there's a few things Turbine and the DDO devs could do to make extended wait more bearable. I'm not speaking about extra Turbine Points, fancy in-game gifts, or the like. Just some information about what we should expect for the future of the game.
We were told that DDO would be taking on a new update schedule, and that we would find out more when DDO: U launched. Well..the launch is delayed, but I think it would only help renew some faith among the playerbase if we had a fimer grasp of the update plans. Should we expect several updates with the coming year? Is the update after the Dreaming Dark already being developed? Will there be a planned release, so that content will general update in regular intervals. Obviously, with a F2P scheme that DDO is taking, content needs to be added to maintain a steady stream of revenue. So, is it possible to hear a few facts about this new plan?
Smaller bits of information. How about new information regarding the Prestige Enhancements for Wizard, Sorcerer, Monk, and the continuations for the other classes like Rogue, Bard and Ranger. Or any additional capstone enhancements that may be released for the various classes. I won't ask about new classes or races, as I believe Turbine is waiting to see if classes or races sell in the DDO store. But, any new information on what to expect for the players that like to play around with builds might stir back some excitement into the game.
Really, any good information Turbine can provide would be a boon to them right now. The delay let a lot of wind out of people's sails. You'd be doing yourselves a favor to try to get that hype building again.
