Posted here because I play here mainly. But I came across this gem and would like to hear other Obscure songs that don't ever break the main-stream but deserve some mention.

Foo fighters could play mary had a little lamb and it would rock. Finding a good song by them is like finding sand on the beach so Im not at all surprised.
A friend of mine though is in a band trying to make a name for themselves, they will have an official ablum cut and mastered in about 2 more months from the looks of it now (lotta hard work and long hours)
They're not bad, have a listen -------> http://www.suigenerisband.com/
Not mainstream (unless u spend a lot of time in NYC bars late at night) and deserve some mention

Captain, re: Foo Fighters, I just dug it becuase it wasn't mainstream and had a jivey eerie feeling to it, makes me want to do a tap run or somthing :) I do like your friends sound though, alot into the vein of things I write (also upstate NY) if they need a vocalist let me know :)
Uska, Not what I expected at all! And I did listen to the second one a couple times. Very cool to hear what other peeps are into.

Its amazing how much things change over the years and how D&D can bring people from several different generations together in the same space. I think I understand you Uska just a little better now.
Braegan, just between u and me, I told him his vocalist has "issues".
- He sings but its like hes just going thru the motions and is thinking about what he has to do at work tomorrow. I recommended they put a few drinks in him 1st.
Basicly hes not giving up the energy for the crowd to feed on, whereas everyone else is putting their hearts into it like this is all they want out of life. I dont think they can let him go as he was there from the beginning. If he stays he needs back up vocals is all Im saying.

I will give any band a listen My friends and I use to dress up like KISS and play long ago and I played bass cant anymore due to arthritis in my wrist.
so you can sing anything we can listen to

Sorry to say the vocalist is the thing I disliked the most maybe if he put more energy out or they replace him I might like them more.

Jonathan Coulton
This is a guy I've known about for a few years now - seen him play live twice. Simply an awesome performer. He started out as a software programmer, but soon found a niche in music. His style is best described as Geek Rock. If any of you have played Portal, he wrote the song that played over the end credits... and if you played the game, that should speak volumes in and of itself. :) At PAX last year, he performed the Portal Song with Felicia Day... and if any of you know of The Guild (http://www.watchtheguild.com/videos/episodes/) - then you know it was pure nerd bliss.
The bulk of his music can be found here - L I N K (http://www.jonathancoulton.com/store/downloads/) - and can be streamed w/o paying for em... or you can purchase them if you want to.
I particularly recommend the songs: Re: Your Brains, Code Monkey, I Feel Fantastic, and his rendition of Baby Got Back is inspired to say the least.
Check it out, I think you may like what you hear. :)
(Edit: You should also check out his song Better. Excellence.)

I am definately digging on the different types of music being put up here. Personal amendment, it was late last night so what I meant to put up was a list of music I play DDO to (perhaps by area) and see what others listen to while playing the game. The off-ddo ones are fine, but I guess my refined OP would be:
Desert
Anything with a Sitar or mid-east feeling would be appropriate here so I chose:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2DliQeqbyI
Gianthold
Monster tones and larger then life music fit the bill here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YL8jOZ9yqRE
Orchard
As stated above, an eerie quality to the song fits the area
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hg7GDxdJ4S4
More to come as I think of them.
Enjoy.

When I've consumed some happy smoke I always go to Bass Drive (http://www.bassdrive.com). Nothing like a little DnB to get you into a virtual monster killing mood. It also helps me focus better while under the influence because there's usually no lyrics. :D
...And I usually like playing my cleric

After some thought I chose a song that could fit well whether slaying Velah, The Demon Queen, Giants, Undead Giants, Pit Fiends, Undead.....etc......

Nothing like a bit of over the top Viking Black Metal to get the blood rage juices flowing...:)

Here a J.Cash cover by a band called Gaslight Anthem.
Only copy I could find online, not sure what the video is.
Gaslight Anthem - God's Gonna Cut You Down (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBiRxzYjKo0)
They also do a cover of "Lean on me" live, but I can't find a copy of it.
Fun band, classic sound.

Uska - my favored Ace Of Spades (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RoWMU8vjBM) cover - Drain STH
