So... many many moons ago I played DDO and loved it, I can't remember why on earth I stopped playing, except that maybe I was getting too busy with the rest of my life. Anyway! I'm returning! Unfortunately, I'm returning on a brand new shiny account, and can't remember which servers I used to frequent. This presents a problem, because there were two servers I used to play on, both of them high population, but one where... people tended to be a bit more... elitest... and the other just more friendly and outgoing. I like friendly and outgoing :-p Sooooo... what I'm wondering is, if you folks of the forums had to choose the friendliest server, which one would you choose? Somewhere where a new player who knows no one and is finding that he no longer knows anything (when the heck did the Wavecrest move to an ISLAND?) can feel welcome, and find groups?

As a side note... I have to say, these first few levels, I'm loving the changes! Even if the quests are mostly the same, they now feel like part of a story, and not just randomly running around, to help Lord Whatsisface The Unlord collect some trinkets. Good stuff! :D

Remember Honor on Thelanis is actively recruiting returning players. We're a friendly, "teaching" guild with mature players and we are about halfway between casual and power-gamer. I like Thelanis a lot, and even though we have what is probably the uberest guild in the game (Legion), I've always found most folks on the server (including most Legion folks) are very friendly. But I must admit I'm an elitist at heart (not in DDO -- I suck at DDO; I mean in general), so perhaps I don't notice elitism.
