So doing a Shroud yesterday. I end up with ISP issues in part 3 and go LD. Come back to not being in the party anymore. Do I deny that there was a possibility that I may have been gone too long to pop back in? No. But is there really a point to kicking me from group so I don't even have the opportunity? I would say no. Does my grayed out name in the party list so distracting that it must be removed?

The few times I have seen this done, it has been done to protect the disconnected so he/she wouldn't get cheated out of large ingredient chests. Otherwise, you would re-connect and if you were still inside the part were you disconnected, you'd be saddled with a completion without any larges.

PS: No, I wasn't there on that run, but I'm offering one possibility. :)

Fantastic answer. I could see people later whining about chests. I would not be one to whine about chests I didn't earn but I could see this as a good reason. Thank you. Just makes me feel better that there is a valid reason. Especially if it was done before opening large chests.

I agree it was in poor taste, unless Aga's answer is exactly why it happened. I didn't even realize you got "the boot" until after we rezzed in part 5.

I have actually run with "insert perpatrator's name here" on a few occasions and never seen this individual do anything out of spite.

Then again, I know you much better and know you are FULL of spite. ;):D:eek:

Sorry bud, could not help myself there.

You could always shoot the individual in question a tell in game and ask why it happened?

I'm just saying is all.

Yeah the only reason i can think of (I did this yesterday to a bard that went ld after part 4) I booted him right before we killed the pit fiend because i knew he wasnt going to finish out so i didnt want him to get a LD completion. Hope that was the reason whoever kicked u had.

Yeah one of two things imo. One party leader was cool and dropped you so you didnt reconnect after completion while someone was still in the instance, that results in a timer and no larges

OR

DC'd peeps are lame and party leader booted you for being lame :D

Not sure the case here :/

When I got back they had barely started part 5 so I assume he did it because I had already missed part 4 chests. Just doing some lame venting.
