Some good PD Death Quotes

Thought this would be a more appropriate setting for the funny quotes...The thing about PD is when a funny thing is said...PEOPLE (dwarve,halflings, etc) DIE!

Well here are some funnier quotes I've heard and made, usually before a nasty death - and in PD dead is dead.

"Shields are for preists" one of Parvo's minions shortly before a death.

"I think we can do this" Spoken by Zornicho when he and I duoed the end Trog on elite at lvl 2 in Sunken Sewer..we died..

Another of Parvo's... I didn't know that full plate conducted electricity so well .....yes, he died.

"I can do this trap, I do it all the time" yes..he died

Lenny the Dink - "You think so"? Spoken to Juxbox as the prepared to take on the named ogre in WW part 3 (elite at lvl 3) themselves to Jux's statement "This could be tough" yes..they died.

Denny the Dink "I think they saw me" spoken to KevlarThief when Denny was spotted and then fried in Stealthy on Elite at lvl 3.

xGrumpy "I thought you were pulling" spoken to a forgotten party member as he was held, fried, and bashed to pieces by Bloodletter in WW (elite lvl 3)

Dillinger (Zorniocho) - 6 Halfling Rogue - 'I feel like a tank' after getting a barkskin and paladin aura. Crushed by 3 CR 10 Earth Elementals.

Odin's Fury (me) to Brockram (Zornicocho) both lvl 6 last part of Splinter on hard... You think we can do this? we didn't

Jacq Virtue pally we say to Ferathas (Pally) "we are a good team we have awsome saves" as the earth elemental casts grab and we fail the save and get crushed to death

Jacq Stout...I'm falling....as he fell to his death

The words spoken at the completion of Thrall of the Necromancer by KG Wiking were "good job, everybody" right before Phelakhaste picked up the necromancer's dropped collectable and promptly died. Apparently, he didn't get the memo that he sometimes casts cloudkill.

One of my favorites was my own cocky death cry with Ketterban the first:

While charging Barxter in Sorrowdusk I shout to my bewildered party members: "I am a dwarven cuisinart!"

Then I am critically triple swinged and killed.

Moral of the story: bragging in PD is like drinking random potions of wonder--very likely to end badly at least half the time:).

I don't remember if there were any memorable quotes but I do remember our demise along with others in Taming the Flames...which ironically killed a member of our Xendrik Summer Tour Group.....now we have to reform! :(

I still remember doing Stromvolds on hard with a smaller party of 6's and 7s. That beginning was pretty intense, and we lived!

My personal favorite is; On a busy night in guild chat, "Get my bag ready, I'm about to ding." In MV we give a free Medium Collectible Bag to characters that achieve level six. That quote and subsequent death, still gives me a chuckle. I'll add some more when I think of them.

Embarrassingly, that would be my Mischiffe... 43 xp from level 6... went into BTL with a full group I think on elite. Ran into a pack of dogs, got tripped and turned into dog food.

She did ding level 6, unfortunately, she did it dead.

Geez, my 15 minutes of fame are for dying.

My Worst PD line!!!

"I am going down to get the crates for ransack"

Did this in Proof is in the Poison in one of the acid rooms that has crates around the edges of an acid pool in the middle, jumped along the edges of the pool but still took acid damage = DEAD, all for a few crates. That was my last PD death it was in July of 2007, I try not to make such stupid quotes anymore!!! LOL!!!

Feather Fail - the surprise PD killer.

"I am going to go take my level now, woo hoo!!" (Jumps off the cliff to get to the trainers in the harbor faster)(Dinging noise is heard and a severe lack of HP on a not-to-be-named party member is observed). "You mean I cant wear these featherfall boots until level 5?"

Apparently its a better idea to click on the feather fall item to don it BEFORE the toon is in the air and halfway to the ground.
