I offer my council as a state of benign indifference, but your time is short.

No this isn't another DOoooooooooooooooOM thread as some diehards will cling to this game..even on its deathbed.

but the fact is..you are being outclassed and outgunned.

DDO:EU is simply a rehash of module 9 that we was promise some 7 months ago...face it, it has nothing to offer (no favoured souls don't cut it) that will drag this game to a place of Kudos.

In short..you had better have a backup plan or invest in a wetsuit.

That is all.

Yeah, that whole DDO Store thing isnt really all that significant..

A Wetsuit? Why would they need a wetsuit?

Sounds like a DoooOOooooOoooom thread to me.

So 4 more levels, 12 new quests, a new explorer area, a new raid, Capstones, a bunch of new named loot, AND a new class is nothing to offer?? We must be playing different games.

I knew that the OP was going to be so pathetic it was going to be funny as soon as I read the thread title.

And the "this isn't a doom thread" really capped it off, nicely done! lol

So what do you suggest they do?

If your not happy with the game and you have no suggestions on h ow to make it better, why do you still pay?

Isnt that whant your supposed to do in Dungons and DRAGONS?

If your bored with the game, go play something else. Simple. Why clutter the forums with your negativity? There are pleanty of us here that are still happy with the game. Why try to bring everyone down? It's a game, be entertained by it or go play something else.

DDO is an old game. I'm tired of 'old game' symptoms being used as a weapon to mean any given thing someone wants to say about anything recent or upcoming. DDO is not to be compared to current MMO's. It has fallen to a niche population like Diablo2 and is still getting new players daily who enjoy the content from lv1->16(20).

Also; can I sing the doom song now? :O

And what was it you "told me"? Those of us in beta testing know exactly what EU is so there is nothing for you to "be right about".

Besides, my point was you were all doomy and pathetic in your post, and you were.

Then please, enlighten us. As Impaqt said, what would YOU do to change the game to your liking? You've spouted negativity already, so how about some constructive critisizm?

WOW! This is a fantastic post! I have never seen so many mixed metaphors in one place in my life!

I offer my council as a state of benign indifference, but your time is short.

You are not a state.

And offering your council is not the opposite of 'your time is short'.

Perhaps you wanted to write:

"As an independent, with no strong feelings one way or another about the game, I would like to offer my council: Your time is short"

No this isn't another DOoooooooooooooooOM thread as some diehards will cling to this game..even on its deathbed.

This is, in fact, a Doom thread - it has all the required characteristics - poorly thought out, incredibly pessimistic, offering no suggestions for avoiding the disastrous fate you so artistically conjure.

And I'm having a difficult time determining why you chose to string this particular set of words together -

"No this isn't another Doom thread" - a promising start.

"as some diehards will cling to this game" - this phrase has absolutely nothing to do with 'no this isn't another Doom thread'. In fact, it's a completely unrelated assertion! This is like writing 'No, this isn't another warning about airline safety, as some barnacles will cling to the Titanic, even as it sinks"

"even on its deathbed" - finally, some relevance to the previous statement - but of course, diehards would cling to "the game" even on it's deathbed. THAT'S WHAT DIEHARD MEANS!

but the fact is..you are being outclassed and outgunned.

By whom? Godzilla? Pokemon? The zombie remains of Ronald Reagan? This is a completely useless statement without context. It's like me saying 'the fact is... there will be rainstorms'

DDO:EU is simply a rehash of module 9 that we was promise some 7 months ago...face it, it has nothing to offer (no favoured souls don't cut it) that will drag this game to a place of Kudos.

What I love about this first sentence (assuming the ellipses are for emphasis) is that you actually contradict yourself mid-sentence by acknowledging the existence of favored souls. And then, instead of, say, going back and rewriting your sentence to be more defensible "aside from favored souls, this is simply a rehash, blah blah", you just charge on ahead, hoping that people won't notice.

And then the last part - it has nothing to offer that will drag this game to a place of Kudos.

Who, exactly is Kudos? Is that the alien sister of Kang's from The Simpsons? Why would we want the game to go to her place? She's probably eat all the developers!

And last, but not least, of course, you're completely wrong - free to play is already bringing in lots of new players... sorry, "dragging this game to Kudos"

In short..you had better have a backup plan or invest in a wetsuit.

and we have saved the best for last. Apparently, if DDO doesn't work out, Turbine is going to take all the developers on a fabulous trip to the beautiful Cayman Islands!

Or maybe you're saying that if DDO:EU doesn't work out, that the Turbine staff will be plunged into the frigid Boston harbor, and will need wetsuits to maintain body temperature while they swim about?

Genius absolutely genius. I loved it. I was going to hit you up with a rep point for making me laugh histerically through the whole post and because your right. But opted against it because of the lack of a warning label not being placed in visable sight causing a spray of coffee all over the keyboard.

WE NEED TO KNOW!!!!!!!

Bravo.

At the very least you have shown that there is, some intelligent life forms on this planet.

But all you have managed to point out is...that I have a dry sense of humour.

As for always being negative..why do people only judge the speaker..rather than the words that are spoken?

An Observation on my part that I (though my discretion) divulge to the ether in the vain hope that someone of worth would take heed of the notion and act upon its merits.

Is not an attempt from me to Doom I.E "bring a downer" on the forum so that I can clasp my hands in glee at a job well done.

I gain very little from "DOOMING".

Whether you agree or disagree with notions aired is not the point. (I don't call you names like some little brat just because I don't buy your opinion)

What do I suggest to improve this game??

I suggest you look back and have a look at my post history (I have made several suggestions and ideas that could improve the game)

As I tire of repeating myself.

Because the speaker is the one with choice of which words to say, what tone to impart, and what color his tie is, and therefore is the one that deserves judgement. Why do people always blame the shooter, and not the gun? Oh wait, some people do blame the gun.
