a quick and simple question. If i abandon a quest after i complete it that is a flag quest, will i still be considered flagged? Seems to me that it would since the compendium keeps track of everything you do.

depends what you flag for
but the safest way would still be: dont abonden it^^

This depends on the quest and how it was structured. If you abandoned a quest chain, such as the Vault of Night series, then you will need to redo it from start to finish to get back to where you were. If you abandon ones that are created as separate quests or item-based flagging quests, such as Twilight Forge, then generally you will not have to redo any of the quests (but you may need to have the items on-hand if they are required).

I would strongly suggest reading this handy thread titled Help! Am I raid ready? (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=168355) by Aranticus (http://forums.ddo.com/member.php?u=31176). Since he has already done a great job of compiling all known flagging requirements I won't bother regurgitating it.
This post should answer any questions you have about how flagging would be affected by abandonment of any quest(s).
