I searched for this and didn't see any discussion on the forums so I thought I'd bring this up as it is confusing to me...

I just rolled a bard and according to the compendium, at level 1, spells per day known/cast is 1/1 which makes sense since I could only learn 1 spell and cast 1.

But at bard level 2 I gained a second spell, and I can cast both spells as well, so it is 2/2 spells per day known/cast, right? But the compendium says 2/1. Is the compendium wrong or do I not understand what this means?

thanks

The compendium lists the spells known, and spells able to cast per day as per PnP rules. However, on DDO you just have to worry about spells known. Spells cast are limited by your spell point pool.

ahh.. well that will prove to be very confusing to new players :) someone should consider removing the spells per day cast completely, since it doesn't apply to the game.

edit: it shows bard level 4 as spells per day known at 2, but it is greyed out. so do we get spells at that level or not? if yes, a fix for that should be considered as well.
