Advice for Shroud Clerics

If you have "Word of Recall" on your hotbar remove it before entering part 4 of the shroud. Because nothing sucks worse then 1 of your 2 clerics say "Oops i hit the wrong key, I'm in the Temple of the Sovreign Host", right as part 4 is starting.

What they probably mean to say is "oops I joined the wrong party".. word or recall is the clerics parachute out of bad shrouds... That way they don't have to pretend they went LD.

I've done this, but not in Shroud pt 4. I kind of wish there was a confirmation on Word of Recall.

I use scrolls and keep them away from my major spells the only time ive ever "oops" with such a thing is when the group sucks and I wanted an out without hurting feelings..

yeah I revealed it since my clerics hardly pug anymore anyways.

That spell, Word of Recall, made me think about something odd in DDO. Most of us use Word of Recall to sell things at the House D vendor. We pick up the spell, use it to head to the Sovereign Host, and then immediately swap it out the next time we're in an inn or tavern. That brings up and interesting question...

How come my cleric can swap spells in a bar but not in a church?

We had a smooth run till that point, sailed thru Part 1, Part 2 was cleared on the first pull, and part 3 took about 3 minutes. I honestly believe the cleric involved just made a mistake. That doesn't make it any less annonying

I know it can happen a friend of mine did it once in a guild run he immediately took the spell off his memmed list after and apologized for days. Me being paranoid of doing such during a raid just keep it in scroll form. Though I did put it out there so that from now on if I do it in a pug group they know..hehe

Because when your cleric is at church he's too busy scraping the gum off the bottom of the pews and sweeping the floors and praying over little old sick ladies... its only at the tavern that he can kick his feet up and read his holy book to change around his spells. It's all very realistic :p

I should know :) I was the other Cleric left standing when that happened...and i most certainly wasn't prepared to solo heal pt 4....but i absolutely love that you put this up Sig!

HAHAHA I've done this before, but only in part one and I was with guildies so it was easy to restart. I keep word of recall handy for bad Hound/Vod runs!

IMO, you should ALWAYS be ready to solo cleric part 4 and 5. There is no telling when your other cleric will take a fireball to the face, or DC, and that little bit of extra prep can be the difference between a succesful complete and a messy wipe.
