Cant do Misery Peak on my own. No other players to party.

Can you solo to the first shrine? If so, clear that shrine, then head back to it whenever you get low on health/spellpoints. If it hasn't reset yet (takes 5 minutes on Solo), wait till it does. Once you get the next shrine cleared (there are several in Misery's Peak), you can alternate between them as needed. The only part of the quest where you'll have to deal with respawns is the huge multilevel cavern with the spiders. For that room, make sure you're at full health/power before you start, and head back to the shrine early so you don't get caught up top with no safe place to rest.

For spells, consider Hypnotism (good for freezing several enemies in place at once) and Niac's Cold Ray (make sure you have enough Fine Sand before you start - it may take more than 50). Burning Hands may work well for the spiders. For the Flenser, use fire damage, and fight within range of the shrine (but not right next to it - don't want to rez with him watching you). Another option to consider is prepping yourself with Mage Armor & Shield, then using a melee weapon to kill things (or bow/crossbow, if you have a much higher dex than str).

Ok. I didnt know Shrines could reset. I thought they got 1 charge.

The no groups thing is rare later.
You're probably just stuck on the 'snowy' side of Korthos Island.
It is a sad design, but it is also fortunately a unique one.

Shrines reset on Solo and on Normal difficulties. 15 minutes before reset on Normal.

If you are on snowy side of Korthos post an LFM saying that and asking for help. Check your spell selection. Try using charm on the humans to build a small army. Let them fight the other mobs.

Soloing an arcane, especially a first character, is tricky. Advice on shrines is a good one. Another thing to do is to run back towards the shrines when you have a group following you. Do your fighting there. If you die then use the resurrection shrine after the mob wanders back to where it came from.

Stock up on starter heal potions from the vendor. Sell off everything you don't need and buy potions. Also, pick up all the potions you find in the quest. Load them in your hotbar so that you can use them quickly.

I found that Niac's kills what it hits but doesn't hit all the time. Try loading burning hands and magic missile and alternate between them. Only use mana when you have to. Otherwise melee the mobs. Better yet, if you can get hold of a crossbow and bolts try shooting them.

The strategy is to sneak until you see an enemy, target them with autoattack off, then sneak back until they can't be seen. They will still be in range as long as there is nothing blocking them. Now shoot using autoattack. Many times the enemy will get confused and not know where the attack is coming from.

If you can't get a crossbow then try pulling just one or two enemy at a time by using corners and such to make sure that you are only seen by the one(s) you want to fight. Melee them making sure to block and drink a starter heal potion everytime you get hit.

You should be able to complete the quest on solo this way with only 1 really hard area, the ice flenser. Use magic missile while facing but constantly moving away. Use expeditious retreat boots to gain faster movement for this part of the quest. Also, use the aid clicky that you get as an end reward. It will give you more HP.

Edit: One more thing. If you really need help after this then let me know what server you are on and when you are playing and I'll roll a toon there to get you thru the quest.
