Just some thread details for the latecomers:
- VoD goggles dropped for me.
- The other rogue in the party needed only those to complete his Tharne's set.
- I flipped 'em over. No trading, he's not a buddy of mine...no nada. They dropped for me and they were the last thing he needed to complete his set.
- We recall out, star switches over to someone else, and we both get booted.
- I send a couple of tells to the booter; zero response.
- Forum post.
- A little while later, responses happen, voice chat happens, apologies were made, case closed.
- As far as I'm concerned, the specifics be done. I've run with everyone in that group before, I'll run with everyone in that group again.
- Who they were isn't important; what guilds they were in isn't important...so stop asking/speculating.

I just want people to get over feeling "entitled" to other people's pulls. If you're running a raid and want specific rules (need before greed, general roll if you can't use it, whatever), then say so before the chest pops (at least), or in your lfm (better). Otherwise let people dispose of their pulls how they see fit: slip 'em to a buddy, need before greed, guild l00t is guild l00t, channel member l00t is channel member l00t, buy it, sell it, whatever.

There are certain people who, while being of the firm belief that *their loot is their loot*, also erroneously expect your and my loot to be up for general roll if we don't want it for ourselves.

I've sat (sitted? sit? sitted-ed?) in that quest before defending someone else who gave the barb (our intimitank) the goggles instead of the rogue that wanted them. :) My exact words were "Any melee would want those goggles." And because, well, that person who gave the barb the goggles, instead of the rogue? It's his l00t.

This ain't a rogue vs barb thang...lord knows there are at least two threads on that already. This is a "your l00t is your l00t" thing.

If your going by importance addition why dont ya give all the raid loot to the clerics, beings you would never complet without them. BTW rogues rock the DPS as well as any class in the game so I am sure the rogue (in your raid) had a hand in the completion :D Booting people over a simple disagreement is childish and the fact that you think it was funny that the OP did get booted makes me assume you are still living in you moms garage. Rogues are *NOT* Useless. Useless rogues fall upon the player, just as mana-sponge useless barbs fall upon the player.

Brenna is probably one, if not THE EXPERT on Rogues in all 5 Servers. If he decided to give it to the rogue, not only did it complete the set, but he decided that rogue actually was competent enough to use the goggles as effectively or more than ye average barb.

Endpoint: It was his loot to assign. Get over your barbs.

The other rogue was pretty cookin'. I don't impress that easy, but he was **** good, not as well equipped as me maybe, but **** good.

Don't get me wrong, we had a top shelf tank, and I wish I had two goggles to pass out...competent tanks are hard to find. Next time, I'll get him (just like I got Gon before I got the goggles m'self).

The fact that i thought it was funny is because it was and the leader is my friend who was mad at him, and i agree about the cleric thing but when a rogue comes in with no good stuff and didnt contribute for the most part why does he deserve anyhting and i never said anything about rogues not doing good dps rogues do realy good dps but what i was saying is that the leader of the group is a very good barb and the rogue that got the goggles was well an average rogue nothing great about them and i still agree on the fact that it was his loot and he did with it what he wanted and i understand ive givin away my loot more than once to some1 who needed it that i knew over some1 i didnt and selling or buying raid loot doesnt mean your being a jerk it just means that either you know it worth money to some1 or you know that person will hopefully give it up for the right amount i dont want to get on the wrong side of any1 your not a bad player but to complete a rogues set over a barb to me isnt worth it

Sorry but trying to be an ass and saying names and guilds wont help you at all because for 1 Nezarian who is in Mindflayers has been in that guild for a long time and wont get kicked out cause he was in the party. 2 being as Hannabel kicked you and he is in BoBX and was close to expulsion once but i dont think that kicking some1 from his party will effect his standing with his guild or other people in this game because the people that play with him know he is onw of the best tanks and is worth playing with so go ahead and say names and guilds wont bother me

1. I think we all missed the point on this. 14 and 17 yr olds? Not that they aren't competent (I have some awesome kids in my guild) but... they look to me for direction. These guys have no idea atm what they're talking about and it's rather obvious.

2. Brenna made a judgement call with his loot. And dishing stuff out to clerics isn't even a factor as "the goggles are an excellent addition to any melee," unless you have a battle cleric -- and I still think Brenna would hand them to a pure melee first vs a battle cleric unless your tanks sucked, which he said was quite the opposite -- he gave the main tank mad props.

3. If Brenna Wavekin (Sableshadow) gives mad props to a rogue, and you give mad unprops to the same rogue, you're wrong (this is similar to Chuck Norris having $5 and you having $5). Learn the game more and you'll understand why he rated the rogue "cooking" ie "toasty!"

No one should get offended by what you do with loot with your name on it.

Even back in the day before the change people couldn't agree how to handle it.
(and the little guy usually got none)

It would be nice if people waited to take it from the chest. Nice if they would think carefully before deciding what to do with it.
But it's really their choice.

Not like you won't get another chance at what you want in the next three days.

I'm actually quite lucky with named items from chests.
A third or the raid loot I have dropped in my name. And I've given away a lot more than that....cause I won't take something that I will not use often.
(however, if the Devs ever give us more backpack space, all bets are off!)

I've won some rolls. My guildy gave me my Chattering ring. And the next run, one dropped in my name that I put up for roll.

Got my Goggles in a trade with the Cleric. He wanted some nice cleric item that dropped for me and I wanted the goggles that dropped for him. The trade was his idea. I think he was leader and had several guildies on the run. Plus I was playing my Rgr/Rog so all and all, no one saw fit to complain about it.

It doesn't belong to you unless it drops in your name.
If it drops in someone else's name, and you find a way to get it....that's a bonus.

Rogues are *NOT* Useless. Useless rogues fall upon the player, just as mana-sponge useless barbs fall upon the player.

Brenna is probably one, if not THE EXPERT on Rogues in all 5 Servers. If he decided to give it to the rogue, not only did it complete the set, but he decided that rogue actually was competent enough to use the goggles as effectively or more than ye average barb.

Endpoint: It was his loot to assign. Get over your barbs.

I just wanted to clear something up. My post was completely sarcastic. If you see my sig, my main is a rogue and one of my favorite characters. I know rogues are far from useless, and in fact, right now, my barb is my banker, lol. Just saw this and felt that maybe I didn't word my original post very well.

dude that was a good run but i understand why you gave them away and hey it is your loot you pulled it but a barb deserves the goggles before a rogue even if it completes his set im not saying that a rogue shouldnt have a chance to get the goggles but realy does the rogue mean more to completing a quest than the barb think about that the next time you give loot away the rogue has all the right in the world to get the goggles but when it comes out to the fact of what would be better the barb would be the choice 99% of the time and im not telling you how to use your raid loot im just saying that rogues arnt that important.......o and it was funny when he kicked you

The fact that i thought it was funny is because it was and the leader is my friend who was mad at him, and i agree about the cleric thing but when a rogue comes in with no good stuff and didnt contribute for the most part why does he deserve anyhting and i never said anything about rogues not doing good dps rogues do realy good dps but what i was saying is that the leader of the group is a very good barb and the rogue that got the goggles was well an average rogue nothing great about them and i still agree on the fact that it was his loot and he did with it what he wanted and i understand ive givin away my loot more than once to some1 who needed it that i knew over some1 i didnt and selling or buying raid loot doesnt mean your being a jerk it just means that either you know it worth money to some1 or you know that person will hopefully give it up for the right amount i dont want to get on the wrong side of any1 your not a bad player but to complete a rogues set over a barb to me isnt worth it

smooth has one of the best rogues i have seen . i have an awsome rogue . we are on the the same page as you . there was sarcasim in his post about the whole rogue thing man .

Sorry but trying to be an ass and saying names and guilds wont help you at all because for 1 Nezarian who is in Mindflayers has been in that guild for a long time and wont get kicked out cause he was in the party. 2 being as Hannabel kicked you and he is in BoBX and was close to expulsion once but i dont think that kicking some1 from his party will effect his standing with his guild or other people in this game because the people that play with him know he is onw of the best tanks and is worth playing with so go ahead and say names and guilds wont bother me

I'm not interested in who it was; that isn't important.

I just want people to accept "your l00t is your l00t" and get on with it, game wide.

listen I'm not trying to get into a who's better contest w/ you

but I put up all 3 of my barbs against him(1 dbl pick user, 1 dlb d axe user 1 great axe user) I have no doubt in my mind that my 28 pt ranger can out dps him or out kill him as could either of my rogues ....

I've seen him play,I've played w/ him.... he takes a ton of damage and struggles w/ team play often.....and I seem him in quite a few shroud runs where he fails to get 10 kills......

not that kills mean a thing but you take most of the posters that post on the thelanis forums and thier 3rd or 4th tiered toon will leave him in the thier wake ...., there more to this game than just gear or builds ....and quite frankly he's lacking on all three areas

I promise you not every expoilter build out there holds their own no matter what gear they are rocking....
