So I am coming back to the game after an extended break. I know that there have been a lot of changes and that a lot of good things are in store for us. That being said, I was just wondering what build would be a top TWF build. I have been looking, but haven't really seen anything that fit my parameters. I am looking for a STR based, rog capable, khopesh using. I was looking at maybe a 18rng/1Ftr/1Rog. But I don't get all the feats that I like to have being a fighter. I also thought that it would be pretty nice to have that +6 Barkskin also, so I kinda shied away from more Ftr levels a bit, though I may just add fighter levels until I have the feats that I was looking at. Anything I might be missing by taking too many Ftr levels that say I might need to be 14-16 Rng? I have been playing around with an 8Ftr/6Rng/2Rog, but I find that I start getting low on skill points, and would like to be a fairly efficient in Locks, traps, search/spot, and UMD. Should I just suck it up and give up some of those skills? Anyways, thanks for the advice in advance, and happy Friday.

Barskin caps at +5.
If your taking rogue levels, always takes at least a couple ranks in open locks/search/disable. Nothing worse then someone who has rogue levles but can't pick the simplest of locks that could save the quest/raid because he never spent the 1 rank on it. (or disable)

Oh ok thanks Shade, I did not know that BS caps at +5. :) What I envision is keeping my Disable, UMD, Search, and Spot capped, and having my a little bit lower, because OL is nice to have, but not as important as the aforementioned IMO and you can always OL multiple times if you fail. Right now, with what I was playing with is a 15Rng/4Ftr/1Rog. I can cap UMD, Search, Spot, Disable Device, and OL will be at +11. Had to sacrifice skills for the fighter levels. I got most of the feats I wanted, but TBH, I would rather be more fighter. I have always loved fighters.

I would probably list the feats you want to take or feel you must have and that might set your build for you. 18 ranger 1 monk 1 rogue is a great build as is 12 fighter 6 ranger 2 rogue or you could try something more unconvential. Make a feat list and then folks can tell you what is worthwhile as feats and what is not.

For the 15 Rng/4Ftr/1Rog, the feats I have chosen are:
-Dodge
-Exotic Weapon: Khopesh
-Improved Crit: Slashing
-Mobility
-Oversized 2Wpn Fighting
-Power Attack
-SF: UMD
-Spring Attack
-Toughness
-Weapon Focus Slashing
-*Weapon Specialization: Slashing @ level 20
If I did 8Ftr/6Rng/2Rog, the feats I would have are:
-Dodge
-Exotic Weapon: Khopesh
-Greater TWF
-Improved Crit: Slashing
-Improved TWF
-SF: UMD
-Spring Attack
-Toughness
-Weapon Focus Slashing
-Weapon Specialization: Slashing
With this set up I don't have Power Attack, Oversize TWF, and maybe the Iron Will that I wanted.
Do you guys see anything not needed? Anything Extravagant? Thanks again.

Sort-of sped-read, so if I missed it being already said over-look my redundance.
But one thing the 18 ranger will have that no other (as of yet) class will have is feat Superior TWF/Perfect TWF which grants an additional off-hand attack. IMO more attacks means superior melee ability.

If you have 6 levels of ranger, you won't have to choose ITWF as a feat as rangers get the feat for free at lvl 6. Are you planning on crafting green-steel weapons? If so, what kind? This could also affect your feat selections(Min II weapons are already keen for example).

You will need to get Toughness when the cap is going up to 20 but you can get away with not getting it now just wear the minos helm now. This is a bug that will be fixed in mod 9 which is why you will need to pick up the feat in mod 9.
SF:UMD is a feat that will likeky not be necessary when the cap goes up between having max umd ranks and making a shroud umd item and getting another umd such as the cartouche, abbot or titan gloves you will be able to hit no fail heal scrolls without the feat. My 8 fighter 6 ranger 2 rogue has a 38 umd when she hits her +2 skill boost and does not have skill focus umd or the titan gloves so next mod will definitely hit no fail heal scrolls.
What race were you thinking?
My guess is you probably would be most happy with the 18 ranger 1 monk 1 rogue build or 18 ranger 1 fighter 1 rogue (the monk splash is better then the fighter splash in this case). This does more dps then the 15 ranger 4 fighter 1 rogue build and has better skill points then the 8 fighter 6 ranger 2 rogue.
Feats
1st dodge
2nd monk or fighter bonus feat power attack
3rd mobility
4rd ranger bonus feat twf
6th spring attack
8th ranger bonus itwf
9th khopesh proficiency
12 improved critical slash
13 ranger bonus gtwf
15 oversized twf
18 toughness

I'm thinking Human for the extra feat and skills. What are the bonuses that a level of Mnk would give? I haven't really played since mnk came out. What starting stats would you guys go with?

If you are going human I would for sure go with the 18 ranger 1 monk 1 rogue build vs. the 12 fighter 6 ranger 2 rogue build because you should have enough feats. 1st level monk gives you a free monk feat (power attack is an example of one), +2 to all three saves, your wisdom bonus to ac, and some other useful enhancements, and 2 more skill points then the fighter. The only negative is 1 less base attack bonus, but your to-hit will be fine and you get all the attacks in the atack sequence.
Something like this:
17 str
13 dex
12 wis
12 int
14 con
8 cha

yeap will save is a little low which is why he uses a GS wis item, boots of innocents and have reaver head for those occasions where needed. the +10 to save boost it up by quite a bit. also immunity items like kundarak delving boots help

well IMO you need to work to tempest III which means at least going 18 ranger
that being said you can do a number of things here you can make a exploiter build lots of posts about that build 18/1/1 ranger/rogue/monk you won't be able to fit all your feats in but you will have tempest III, evasion, and decent ac...if you go human you pick up a feat so you can take kospehs
I think you would also be very happy w/ 18/2 ranger/fighter this will net you 2 xtra feats (3 if you go human) you lose the rogue stuff but if you want the best 2wf build I don't think you need to worry about rogue abilites
I'd go wf 18/2 ranger/fighter......w/ the power attack enhancements that wf get you can/will do insane damge and I think the WF's get the most out of the Dragon touch docents

Rangers have low DPS compared to pure fighters and 12 fighter / 6 ranger / 2 monk.
Trap skills are worthless really, don't bother.
