I've looked for information on where/how to get tomes above +1, but a search on tomes really brings back a lot of unrelated information.
So just wondering, where/how do you get tomes above +1 for stats?

From chest in higher end quests....or more likely from end rewards after runs of 20, 40, 60 etc

Not sure of quest level, but all of the Vale (Shroud prereqs) or Twilight quests on Hard or Elite have the potential to drop them too! So I always perfer to run them on Hard or Elite for the better loot/xp and chance for a +2 Tome!

1) From Chests. As others have said any quest lvl 17 or higher can drop +2 tomes (lvl 17 quests on normal, 16's on hard, 15's on elite). These are unbound.
2) From Auction house/trades with other players. These are usually other people's chest drops that they don't want or need. They are currently only available in +2 varieties.
3) From lower level timed raids. Vault of Night (Dragon raid), Twighlight Forge (Titan raid), Against the Demon Queen (DQ raid) all drop +2 tomes, though rarely. On your 20th completion of any such raid (20 dragons for example), you get a list of about half the possible items, with a decent chance at a +2 tome. These tomes are all bound and found in the big end chest of the raid.
4) 1750 Favor. Anytime a character gets his favor total to 1750 or higher, go talk to Nyx in the harbour. He will give you any +2 tome of your choice, though it is bound.
5) Higher level raids. Reaver's Fate (Reaver raid), Asenscion something (Abott raid), Hound of Xoriat (hound raid), Vision of destruction (VOD raid) can all drop +3 tomes both in their end chests and in their 20th completion reward list. The Thirteenth Eclipse (Shroud raid) has a special 20th completion list. It includes 1 of each kind of tome, any of which can randomly be +2 or +3. All of these are also bound. Note that Abott on elite, hound, vision and shroud can all drop unbound +2 tomes as their chest level is 17 or better.
Unbound +3 tomes and bound +4 tomes are expected in the next update, but noone knows for sure. As a side note, I have never seen a +1 tome in very high level chests, which makes me think the +1s stop dropping after the vale quests.

I got a +2 Con tome as an end reward for running Dust in the Vale.

Thanks for the replies, good information there. My main is a level 7 Wizard, so I'm guessing he's too low level still...lol

My best luck in picking up tomes is to run From Beyond the Grave. The two chests there drop +1 tomes (or they use to, haven't been there in a long time).
After that, pretty much as others have said. I run that level content so infrequently that I don't expect to ever get a +2 tome or higher. :(
