I've got a lvl 12 wf fighter. I've done tempest spine, and Vons. Didn't have much of a problem with those quests thanks to the great people I ran em with. I was just wondering if there was any STAPLE stuff I needed for the higher raids, titan & ADQ (so on and so on). I am Lawful Good allined also keep in mind I don't have a Vorpal yet, or a banisher, but also I don't know really how to obtain them but by simply running stuff in GH a lot (cause I'm NOT buying them!) Also are wounders of much value now?

I say just jump in and live the dream! Make sure the leader knows you're new, and you should be fine.

yeah let the leader know first:
Once you get level 13/14 many parties will welcome newer players into more casual raids such as Reaver's Fate, or the Hound of Xoriat. Those are quests, where there is a few extra slots for new people, because you only need 4 or 5 solid players to be able to complete the quest. Good luck.

btw - keep your eyes out for cheap vorpals and wounders on the Auction House

If you are Two Handed Fighter, cheap vorpal greatswords will be around 5-6k
If you are Two Weapon Fighting cheap vorpals will be sickles and longswords- around 8k at most

In addition, always look for wounders

a +1 Wounder will be like 3-4k
and keep your eyes out for affordable +3/4 wounders for around 12k

Wounders and Vorpals are crucial staples to many of the quests and raids in the game.

Good luck!

thanks guys, but the Argonesson AH is almost ALWAYS crazy with the prices. I do have two wounding dwarven axes (thankfully thats what my main weps are) I just didn't know how effective they were. I guess I'll just keep watching and maybe see someone that doesn't want to be a greedy ass and take ALL my money. Also would you suggest Chaosgaurde bracers, or would you use +5 str bracers if you had a choice. you tell me

While I got a Vorpal sickle for 10K plat at one point, I normally see them on the AH for 100-1,000K plat.

I'd recommend looking for Vorpal axes for the cheaper TWF option... on Sarlona, at least.

If you're wary of AH prices, check the pawn brokers regularly, sometimes you can get good buys in there.

Also keep an eye out on the Marketplace thread for your server. I don't know if Argo has a User Chat channel specifically for trades, but might be worthwhile checking into as well. There are ways to get decent stuff and not have to pay an arm and a leg for it.

If you pull something good but have no use for it, keep it for trading fodder.

very good point, that was my bad: Normal Axes are much worse then sickes, therefor you should see some really cheap battleaxes on the AH

If you're on Argo, you can find all manner of Power 5 (Vorpal, Paralyzing, Smiting, Banishing, Disruption) and DPS weapons in the House D broker any given day. Check in a couple random times a day for a week and you'll be shocked at what you might find there that is useful for someone just starting out.
