Some more notes on Lag. . .
I was fairly lag free this whole run--it didn't seem that laggy at all until half way through part 5- -- I did call out that Harry was dead in part 4 but I think most saw him die in real time this time--our last runs I was the first to see him fall. One person did not make it into part 5--but ported in as we were almost done killing the bosses, unlike our last 15 min run where the person was locked out the whole time.

Lag came at once for me in Part 5 when harry was at about 50%, but it might have just been one of those spikes. I'm sure we can do 13 if the lag monster stays at bay.

In part 2 with Spyder's help a few of us finally convinced the group to just go for it and not worry about the potential lag and do a different thing --it did get laggy for some at this point, but I was fine. I did not have dead bosses still showing as living as I was going into part 3:)

Id like to give a special shout out to Thelmelian, Quik, Clever, Kenny

And also a big thanx to all those pugs that let me practice strategies on them:) When I first started having groups kill all 4 things SC even most of my own guildies were leery at best--last week I ran a shroud and pugs in it actually got confused when the 4 bosses were split up old school style. . . And Leafy really did a great job organizing, and sometimes taking some heat--not an easy position to be in at al.

Ill lead speed shrouds, but if you want to do Leafys' fancy portal pattern, you'll have to get him to lead--he really has the patience to lead PUGS through that--Me, I like to text while beating on portals in normal not trying to break the record shroud runs.

I was kind of thinking of doing pseudo - speed runs, where we wouldn't be trying to break records but would still be shooting to come in under 20 minutes. I would like to form these up and include a couple people who haven't run with us before just to see what its all about, with the goal of increasing the overall speed of shroud runs on the server.

Before Leafy gets barraged with tells from people we don't know and who perhaps haven't ever run with us and don't know our style, let me lay this out there for those that want to speed run (and of course this applies to my runs as well even though I wont be doing the fancy portal pattern)

1-You must be able to give your self all your buffs or have items for fire, poison, fear, GH if you need it on top of Bard songs
2-All melee skip shrines
3-You need to carry some means to heal yourself--pots, wands, whatever
4- YOu must carry remove Curse Pots and be able to use them in part 2 and 5
5-You need to have a solver for puzzles
6- You need to have all your stuff turned down so that you can hear directions
7- Casters need to be DPS/Zapping casters, not CC Only
8-No afks of course:)


And if you think this is bad, you should see the requirements for a record breaking speed run:)

Anywho, I ran an 18 min speed run with 3 casters last week and gasp a S&B, so for non record breaking runs, I think the group make up does not need to be so strict.

it usually takes us longer forming the group, explaining the portal pattern, everyone getting house P buffs, than it does running the raid :)
