Facts now, role-playing later, I will play a cleric healer.
I am in New York USA. I play 9am to 5 pm EST Monday - Friday. Then after 9pm for a few more hours.
Weekends 9pm till midnight or so.

I do like role-playing but am not a hard hard core person on that.

Post here since I have not made a toon on each server yet. I will stick to the one server that is most at the times I play.

I am retired and in my mid 40's. Night time is family time along with the weekend.

Other games seem to take way too long to raid any more. So this game seems perfect.

It is summer, maybe it will be different with more people having the summer off?

Daylight hours during the week on Ghallanda we might be a graveyard. Sometimes DDO Korea will open up a PUG but you had better be able to go fast and furious. DDO Korea is probably the best guild on the server for doing RAIDs and Quests. If anyone doubts that they can post otherwise.

Around 3 PM your time, it begins to get busy.

Most of the guilds are active at night and on the weekends. There are lots of active guilds; Sabbat, THAC0, Ravensguard, Valiant Accord, Tyrs Paladium(fairly new but I see a lot of them), Old Timers, Plague, and many more that I am forgeting.

At 9 PM your time, we are rocking. Lots of players on at night and on the weekends. There will be at least two instances of the Marketplace, Meridia, and Gianthold.

You might try Khyber. It is the 'Australia' server, so you can find people when the hours are upside down.

Ghalanda is the best server for finding experienced, highly skilled players in PUG's. (Not saying that I am one.) But it's the only server where I met a lot of them. DDO is more a game of skill than other MMO's, so this is important. I think they are all stuck in their guilds in the other servers.

The truth about DDO is that there has always been a problem grouping during odd hours, meaning anytime beside 4-10PM Eastern and weekends. I believe this applies to all servers. Khyber is just slightly better.

I have played for years at crazy hours exclusively, and never found a guild active in my 'time zone'. So I mostly PUG.

PUGing is the best part of the game. Any MMO has limited content, so you will be repeating the same dozen quests or so over and over. But DDO is special. Because you can customize your toon, then form into small groups, every party is a little different, the game stays very fresh. Because different people bring different skills tot the group, it's fun to mix up groups a lot.

/rp mode...

Hail friend and wellcome to Stormreach. You never find a dirtier dung-pile of greed, lewd comments and parsimony..

Yeah, I'd have to agree with the posts about hours on our server. Mostly from what I've noticed playing this server over the years is that

Bigger Guild = More people on at random hours

And since I havent had a "set time" that I could play for the past ohh... year and a half... most of the time I'm the only one on in my guild... we're not that big.

Tyrs is a good guild, I have a toon over there trying it out and if I ever get out of this hotel with the crappy internet I'll be on that toon checking out the guild more... :D

i have been playing on this server for a while (at least 6 months) and i find most of my groups on the weekends
