I'm kinda hoping that the beta, whatever that will be like, will rekindle my passion for the game. Right now, I feel like DDO is a girl I broke up with after a long relationship that was fantastic, but ended badly. There are still good feelings there, but a lot of resentment and anger too. I tried over the weekend to put in some server-time, but I logged out after about a half hour. Spending time with the ex was still a little too weird.

But, upping my sub will get me a beta key - and I'll take it from there.

I took a nice long break during the "time of darkness" so I'm still munching on the last couple releases worth of content.

I don't get why more folks don't do that when it starts to grind on them. Just play some other games for a while and come back when there are new toys or you get the old urges back.

I'll likely keep subbed until the game shuts down but I don't expect to play the thing constantly for the whole time. For me the subscription fee is pretty trivial compared to what I get out of the game.

Thelanis has the highest population atm, and F2P will (assuming it ever goes live) bring many people to the game. I don't think you need to be worrying or sensationalizing like this. It's enough to say that they ****ed people off. You don't need to break out the Folgers can just yet, the game will go on.

Exactly. There are a ton of fun games out there... People really need to look at themselves when they continue to play a game they are bored with...

If it's a grind, take a break....

I would suggest that you don't play another MMO (although you could). Try a different genre for a true change of pace...
