This year some of the DDOCast crew will be getting together to run two of True Adventure's True Dungeons (http://www.truedungeon.com/true/eventdetails.htm): the Mini-quest: 'Getting In' (True Dungeon Intro) (http://www.genconreg.com/events/5496) and The Five Aspects' (http://www.genconreg.com/events/5169).

As the coordinator of this special DDOCast adventure, I purchased full blocks of tickets for both of these events. Getting in had 6 and The Five Aspects had 8. We have 1 slot available for each of these events. And as the tickets are mine, I thought it would be cool to offer them up to the DDO community here on the offical DDO forums to anyone who wanted to join us. The relavent information for scheduling purposes is below. Following the links above to learn mroe about each event or true Dungeon itself.

Time: Saturday 8/15 at 10:24AM
Duration: 1 Hour
Game Code: TDA0905496
Cost: $24

Quest Name: The Five Aspects'
Time: Saturday 08/15/2009 03:49PM
Duration: 2 Hours
Game Code: TDA0905169
Cost $38

On a somewhat related note, I'm looking for an open slot for this years new event: Where There's Smoak.

I have not tried it before. What do you need to do the true dungeon? If Turbine has a Friday not party, I am not sure how I will feel that early in morning.

Other than being registered for the convention not much more really. Typically you would just register for the even like you wuold a normal event, but this event sells out FAST!!!!

Which is why I purchased blocks of tickets, so that I could ensure that DDOCast could do this event together.

If you not sure you;d be up for it in the morning, I'd rather hold the ticket for someone who can commit to the event.

But, what event should I purchase tickets for? Ok, i read more about the event, true dungeon. HOw many tickets should I purchase? How many times are you guys planning to run this? I read it usually runs two hours.....

Basically, if you want to run with us, get your tickets from Steiner-Davion. I doubt there are any True Dungeons tickets left for sale through GenCon (they always go quick). We've got two groups, one for each of the two True Dungeon events. One is in the morning, the other in the afternoon. The first one is supposed to be a bit more of an introductory thing, but they are both going to be cool.

Thanks for clearing that up Mockduck. I was unable to get online sooner to mention all that.

I have listed all the relevant information about each of the two events we will be running in the OP, including links to the GenCon event information for each of the two True Dungeon adventures. So read up and make your decision. I'm sure they will not last long, once people realize that I have a couple available. But I'm sure that this thread keeps getting buried off of the main forum recent thread activity list for a large majority of people do to all the talk that is going on right now about the recent news.

Hubby and I will both be attending GenCon Again this year but I totaly missed the day when tickents for TD went on sale needless to say we Did'nt get any.

So when I saw the title of your post i got Excited, then i got sad, :( .

We would have loved to join you for The Five Aspects quest but since you only have one ticket for each event one of us would be left behind and even though he say's I should go the guilt of leaving hubby behind would kill me :(.

So have fun for me.:) and if you dont find somebody before the Con We could alway's Roll a d20 to see who goes . :D

:( I just discovered that we have another event scheduled for 4:00pm the same day. I guess that's what happens when you have 2 people choosing the events. :o

No problem. We still have one ticket left for each of the events, c'mon, no one wants in? Phlor, give Steiner some money and come join us! I think there's a ticket open for a different group as well, but that's not DDOcast related.

Sorry, I was recently listening to a very old DDOCast commercial. The "Sean Connery" bit.

I am so blaming it on Lessah and Clanky it is not even funny.

You mean Sigfried and Anne, right? They did the Sean Connery bit. Lessah and Clank have done a ton of other cool bits, but not that particular one.

It was so much fun! My favorite part was when we barely made it out of the dungeon with the artifact and solved the last riddle! A photo finish!!!!!

I thought the best part was when we almost had a party wipe in the introductory mini-quest! :)

Both true dungeon runs ruled. Thanks everyone for doing this! Memories last until your brain dies, true dungeon cups last forever (they're made of plastic, ya know...)

Hubby and I didn't get to join for any of your runs however we did manage to slip into a With Smoke Come Fire run. :). We survived and it was a blast. :)

Was as really cool was when it was time for our Mini Quest: "Getting In." we showed up for registration to Discover that the 4 People we were teamed up with just so happened to be DDO Player's Also. So We got to do our quest with PhoenixFire31 and a few other’s I wish I could remember all the Names but I'm embarrassed to say I’m horrible with names :o. We had a great time, It was a blast.

Can't wait til next year True Dungeon is one of my Favorite parts of the Con.:D

Yes it was a great time. Thank you all for taking a chance and running these events. True Dungeon is not for the weak of mind. It is all about Team Work and mental challenges.

I have to agree, there was nothing quite like the challenge of our run through "Getting In." We almost had the party wipe at in the second room, and then solving the last puzzle just seconds before the bell. The Hurry up music is / was really motivating.

Thanks again everyone. I'm really looking forward to doing this again with you all next year.
