Whenever I play in party that has a rogue involved, I find myself not calling the rogue by name, but by a few well chosen diminutives, and I thought I would share them with you folks.
It got me wondering, if I called the lil beggers names.. then mebbe others do as well, So post your favorite pet names for yours or other player's the.... "less fortunate" ones of our parties! :D

I call my new rogue the "Death Machine"
WF strength based TWF dual-khopesh user. at 5th level nothing is more fun than critting with a khopesh, and getting sneak attack damage to boot.
oh yeah, and I unlock doors, and find/disable traps too.

Although I know YOU don't have a rogue Furb, it would be nice if you got out of sneak mode and came to hang out every once in a while.
My first rogue was called "Phalan" (pron. Failin') so you were warned when box went boom.
Second rogue was Lockz Myth. No box or door stood in his way.
Both were squishy so I called them dead. Phalan had a whopping 72 hp when DQ came out. OUCH!
Twinckle Toez though, lol, now he was awesome.
Sadly, I gave up on pure class rogues.
Got tired of being pestered to run "particular" quests and struggling to gain entrance to the rest.
Back on topic, I always thought of the rogue as:
Loot piker
Ex-Lax (after a box blows)
Jack of all trades (after going thru entire stack of +5 tools to open a door)

When in doubt, throw the rogue out.

Slink I am hurt. I have 3 rogues now all mixed class
but fully functional locksmiths and disablers.
(2) 14/2 ranger/rogue halfing repeater builds Furbicat and Furbette
and
(1) 14/2 Sorceror/rogue WF build. FurbB Strangely I am really fond of this one.
well all of them but I was really pleased when my wf turned out to be plenty capable.

I don't call them anything, because we cannot actually use rogues as thieves in this version of the game. Might be fun if we could pickpocket....
Sneak in and steal the key instead of killing the guy and looting the corpse.

(Halfling) I fondly call my rogue, Leg-Humper or Little guy

I generally refer to my rogue as a Glass Cannon. Str based Rogue 13 / Barbarian 3 who can stack his rages and hit a 40 Str, but can't take a punch to save his life. The fact that I messed up and ignored his Charisma does not help healing either as I have next to no UMD to speak of and suffer to use RMW wands.
In the end I still love this guy and those flaws are part of why I don't reroll him. It will be such fun when he hits 20 and gets the other 3 levels of Barbarian and 14 rogue. Should be able to dish out even more than he does now.
And yes, he can do traps quite well.

For any rogues that follow my Rogue or Rangers around
“My partner in crime” (The criminal offense: Making other melee types feel inadequate)
For rogues that follow my Monk around wielding a banishing weapon
“Idiot”

Could not agree more!
This version of D&D does not give any opportunity to rogues to "shine" saves 2-3 quest and even then! All you need to cap rogue skills is a single level splash. Obviously mmo's are all about numbers and combat so 80% if not more of what a rogue is all about is useless here in ddo.
Just start with one level of rogue and then go ranger all the way after maxing rogue skills and you will have the best rogue you could have in a mmo!

Back in the old days:
Not invited (since most LFMs were excluding them we would ask "who invited you ?" - aka party leader).
Pocket Rogue (for the rogues who ran into the front of combat and died a lot, we rez'd them just before a trap or door needed to be picked).
Stone carrier (because the rogue sometimes was the only one who survived and had to take all to the rez shrine).
