Though I will post this quote from the MMORG article interviewing Jim Crowley that I thought was interesting...

"Second, Turbine is going to look toward further empowering the user. They want to be able to incorporate user generated content into their worlds. “We think that’s really the next generation of MMOs,” he said. “Where the team is focused, is in the concepts of truly customizing environments… true freeform placement of objects and self-creation of dungeons and landscapes, even modelling and texture assets, etc.” He also talked about giving players more customization not only of their characters, but of the level caps, spells, attacks and other areas of the game. Supposedly Mod 11 is going to extend the Shavarath storyline again. Arritrakeos escapes the prison the Eladrin have made for him. Sulumedes gets raised from the dead. The player characters get stuck in the middle of a battle royale between them! The tenative title is: Module 11: When Harry met Sally.

Actually the announcement is that DDO2 has been delayed but DDO3 will be launched come the fall.

This just in, a new mod should be dropping any day now. Apparently set in the wasteland of the great dragon/giant war, we will have the opportunity to face off against 3 sets of dragon/giants, somehow magically linked, and then we will get to face the Storm Reaver himself.
