Has anyone else made Salt corrosion on any weapon? If so, what were your results? I made salt rapier and tried it out immediately in VOD. I got no after effect for the salt corrosion whatsoever. Ok, maybe devils were immune, so I try it out in Vale on the ogres. Again, no uptick damage at all. Is there a glitch with this?
Thanks

the salt effect damages everything ...... however on every hit there is ONLY a chance that the salt will procc

Anyone know % it happens? It didn't say anything bout that in the shroud loot planner. I hit a lot in the vale, and looked through combat log and didn't see it come up once.
Kind of peeved that if i spent 24 larges to make something that doesn't work often or well.

Not sure on the exact numbers but I would hazard a guess and say it's similar to lightning strike or freezing ice. Maybe around ~2% or so? Any idea how much damage this effect is supposed to do (OP or anyone else)?

It's been a year since I have been hit by it, but if I remember, it's something like 80 per tick and four ticks.
Like you said, the proc rate is really low.

Corrosive salt is alot more useful as a guard for a low AC barbin my oppinion. Stack it on with the rest of the guards and watch them fly. If you put enough on one barb, they'll proc enough to make it worth while.
On a weapon, not so sure.

yeah my melee's that main tank VOD I make sure that's their tempest effect on DT armor I also like to craft lighting strike and disingrate guards items as well..... if you can fit 3-5 guards on a melee that can stand up to the big guy fun to watch all the guard effects procc....but on a weapon I wouldn't be to keen on it unless it was your off hand int +6 item for your assian rogie or something ....other than that not going to be too usefull unless you use for pvp if you went unholy w/ it

If you are looking for proc rate check out YK49's thread, http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=176176 , He's compiling all the data for crafted item/weapons proc rates and associated saves

Hey Thanks Ry,
That is a great thread to use for future planning of Green Steal Shroud items and weapons.
