I have been playing this game for a few months now. When I play, I don't see any names above anything. I have tried the control+v, tried switching the button command, and even talked to the Support Channel. I was eventually told to try a uninstall, reinstall, which I just did. Still, no names. I have a feeling it's something really stupid on my part, so if any of you have any advice or help, I would really appreciate it. Feel free to to poke fun at my noobness:)

I don't think its ctrl + v I think it is just v.

Yeah. Sorry about that. That is what I meant. Well, that didn't work either:( I have uninstalled, re-downloaded the game, installed it, and still nothing. I then found my old DDO disc. So I uninstalled it again, then reinstalled it. Still no luck. Can anyone think of anything?

Is the "V" on your keyboard working or stuck? Sometimes it can be something really stupid simple like that. If you have another keyboard, just swap it out and see if that fixes things.

Or do you have some custom keymapping in place where you have the "v" key assigned to something else you are not noticing? Check the Keymapping in options to see if you have the "v" key assigned to something.

Try resetting your kep mapping to default. Then press "v" (Not Ctrl+V).

check your keymapping for floaty names and see what it is mapped to if it is not mapped, then simply map it to whatever key you wish.

Thanks fellas. I have tried everything mentioned except the keyboard switch. I don't understand why pressing v would work fine here, but not in game. I really appreciate the replies though. Keep 'em coming!

Well many of us might be posting from locations which are not our gaming setup, so the working keyboard for typing on the forums would be a non factor.

I actually just checked my keymapping and v was the assigned button. It was also not assigned to anything else. I tried reassigning a different button and still nothing. I even restored the default, and no change. It's driving me crazy:(

Nope. Tried a different keyboard, and still no juice:( I guess I'm just stuck with it, huh? Oh well. I survived this long. I guess I can do without it. But if anyone else thinks of anything, please let me know. And thank you all so much for trying to help me.
