I too am also a member of the almost-founder club.

I never intended on joining the forums, but the static group I started playing in eventually grew bored since we couldn't complete much of the content past the market.

Looking back, I think part of the problem was the group being stuck in the "most other MMOs" mode (of which I'd never played any). One quest that sticks out in my mind is VoN 2. We failed sooooooo many times because two non-twitch members insisted on being present at every encounter - if the wind bridge didn't get them, the jump from the shrine to the ladder (to get to the slimes) did.

Our nephew called us one day. We hear from him so rarely at first we wondered who in the family had died. He was playing DDO. and suggested we get the trial. It wasn't like our pen an paper adventures until STK. Then we was hooked. We came to the forums later. The Forums back then was so different from now. People were friendly, out going and helpful. There was no postal service and no auction house. If you needed some thing, somebody would meet you in game and give it to you. I don't come here much anymore. The old neighborhood is gone.

Ahh, thanks, I didn't even notice it had moved here. Lame that it no longer commemorates the founders of this game. Seems a bit misnamed now, doesn't it? Oh well, I filed a bug report. Perhaps they'll fix it someday.

Nothing official, the only date I've heard spread around was sometime in summer 2010 at the earliest. The game has been in production for 1-2yrs already though, so it wouldn't been that surprising to see that time frame be accurate. Initial beta testing could come within the next few months maybe (plz plz plz)

Bioware is supposed have a full demo at E3 though, along with other big SWTOR news so maybe they will tell us some dates :)

You must have missed the very first update, when everyone's returning throwing weapons turned into a stack of 20 returning throwing weapons and they had to do a rollback. Amazingly enough, people whined at losing the gold they'd gotten for selling 19 returning throwing weapons they got by accident.

It might have been stacks of 100 (it was a long time ago). If I had had a returning throwing weapon, I would probably remember.

How could breaking them down into smaller stacks have helped keep them? They rolled the servers back.

I think founders were people in the pre-release, but in a guild with at least 25 people (I don't remember the exact number), or something that. In the marketplace, the founders fountain have all the guilds with the members who had founders status. That's what I remember, I might be wrong.
