There have been other threads like this, but I wanted to throw some more ideas out there for things to do while we await mod 9 (some may be repeats from other threads). Many of these are ideas that I have already done, some I will do imminently, and others are probably pipe dreams.

1) Specialist guilds: I'm thinking of starting an all halfling repeater only guild and naming them something gangsterish.. like the "midget mobsters" or some such.

2) completely naked raid string runs (i.e. no components, pots, equip, weapons except what you find). I recently did Von elite 1 to 6, I'm probably going to put together DQ and Titan naked runs (with all pre reqs).

3) roll a G.I.M.P.

4) Single class raids: All bard, all ranger, etc etc.. I would love to see an all non-evasion fighter group take down the shroud. The all Cleric Vod I took part in recently made me realize I could melee more with my cleric which caused me to begin playing and equiping him in an entirely different way. I've done all sorc and all ranger shrouds and had a tonne of fun with an all ranged ranger TS in the past.

5) Short man raids, and speed runs. They've been done, but you can always be faster or go with less people. Shortmanning raids has seemed particularily fun to me for some reason.

6) Roll a character on a new server, or transfer an existing one. I'm thinking of sending my fighter on a bit of a tour.

7) Think outside the box: make an unusual or unpopular build like a halfling thrower specialist, a crit rage II repeater build, or a battle sorc.

8) make a retro guild (where you are only allowed something like mod 5 and prior gear)

9) make a secret character to grief your friends and guildies with. Become the mortal enemy of your own guild!

Roll a rogue and join the Ruthless Order of Guile, Utility, and Extermination (R.O.G.U.E Proving Grounds). This informal, cross server guild provides a bunch of level appropriate challenges for rogues of any build and playstyle. The coolest thing about R.O.G.U.E, to me, is that there is stuff to do for Level 16 rogues who have a pack full of greensteels and raid gear as well as challenges for level 1 rogues fresh off Korthos Island and everyone in between!

But it is still doing the same things over and over, just differently. My guild and I tried this...we tried warforged night, permadeath night, etc.....still same quests over and over and over ....and..........over.
