Well, we did it. Ghallanda showed their true colors this afternoon, at 3PM Eastern. I want to thank everyone who was able to participate on a day when most are BBQing for their friends and family in real life. Some of you actually paused your real life obligations to attend. For that, /salute.

I was never more proud to get together with you all. It was an AWESOME SHOW of support.

For those who couldnt make it, this is a transcript of the events.

Comodore of the Tyrs Paladium guild read this poem:

"It is the Soldier, not the reporter,
Who has given us Freedom of the Press.

It is the Soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us Freedom of Speech.

It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer,
Who has given us the Freedom to demonstrate.

It is the Soldier, not the lawyer,
Who has given us the right to a fair trial;

And it is the Soldier--who salutes the flag,
Who serves the flag, and
Whose coffin is draped by the flag--
Who allows the protester to burn the flag."

Then, the Honorary bard, Takeylya of the Plague guild, proceeded with our unique version of Taps.

Takeylya sings a song..

Day is done, gone the sun, From the hills, from the lake, From the skies. All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.

Takeylya sings a song..

Go to sleep, peaceful sleep, May the soldier or sailor, God keep. On the land or the deep, Safe in sleep.

Takeylya sings a song..

Love, good night, Must thou go, When the day, And the night Need thee so? All is well. Speedeth all To their rest.

Takeylya sings a song..

Fades the light; And afar Goeth day, And the stars Shineth bright, Fare thee well; Day has gone, Night is on.

Takeylya sings a song..

Thanks and praise, For our days, 'Neath the sun, Neath the stars, 'Neath the sky, As we go,
This we know, God is nigh.

Takeylya sings a song..

Then we all saluted. "21 Gun Salute."
